Hell, we got a couple of weeks ago word of Imperial Veterans for X Wing!

Man...if they release a Super Star Destroyer for Armada I might have to switch games.

Larger, I heard. That's part of why I want it. The regular Imperial class is almost enough for me to buy in, that thing is sweet. I just don't have enough time/money for 2 hobby games right now, and I still love X-wing.

Eh, yeah. "Even with the sliding scale" - gotta be twice the length of the Raider, or I'm not buying it. (Of course, twice the length of the Raider...and corresponding cost increase...at that point I may well want to buy it, but not so sure I could buy it...LOL)

RE; the thread...I'm really thinking we get another Imperial Veterans preview before wave 9 is announced. And (purely IMHO), wave 3 of Armada announced first, too.

Yeah, I'm thinking Armada Wave 3 will be announced before Wave 9.

I would love for there to be a minimum of 1 month from ships in hand to next announcement, and for the cycle from announcement to ships in hand to be shorter (closer to 3 months), but there are probably too many variables for them to suppress information that long.

When it comes to announcements there are several steps that could be taken at various times out.

1st step: Just announce when the next Wave is supposed to come out and how many ships will be in it. Very few actual details as this is essentially a notice of what we may have in the works.

2nd step: Announce which ships will be in the Wave. This should be after the previous wave is out but a couple months before the Wave is supposed to land. Speculation can abound in actual ship stats at this stage.

3rd step: Spoiler time! This should only happen a month or less before the Wave's release. People can see what they will be getting but only the craziest/most dedicated will be able to "figure it out" before it is actually in the hands of players.

Now I'm not sure how much stuff the catalog needs to spoil and how far in advance but I think there is a good deal of stuff I have listed for the 3rd-step that really doesn't need to come out really early. Let's see who gets excited about the ships without knowing about all of the mechanics behind the ship.

What if we just played with wave 8 for a while? Wave 8 isn't even out yet and we're already excited for wave 9. This is ridiculous and needs to stop.

I would expect an announcement by the time Wave8 hits stores... feels like it could be ANY time now.

Wookiee Gunship = nice guess. It would be interesting. But I don't think they will release 2 Rebel large ships at once.

TIE/sf = a no brainer. I hope it will come with a auxiliary firing arc, like this.

Upsilon Shuttle = would not fit well in this game (Epic size wings in a Large size ship). I hope they finally release the Assault Gunboat instead.

New Falcon = yes, and with extra Scum dial (and pilots), please.

I wouldn't be upset if they waited until Wave 9 was printing before telling us about it.

Also! I would like FFG to spoil the Scyk fix in the design stage, so they could get some unofficial Vassle feedback.

I wouldn't be surprised if they announce a Scum Aces or Huge ship before Wave 9 as a teaser. Or some totally new release format where they could release updates for older large ships without actually having to re-print/repaint them, maybe a like scenario pack.

Well, I just found out GAMA is just over a week away. So, that seems like a good time for a bunch of big announcements.

Interdictors and Imperial Light Carriers!

I want to see Scum and Villainy pilots for the YT-1300 and YT-2400. They were Smuggler ships after all. But I think thus is wish listing.
