I'm quite surprised this being revealed less than a month before Adepticon. Maybe the rest of the month will be new info? Also surprised they had TWO announcement articles today. (Core expansion and the ally/villain packs).

And yeah, I LOVE the look of the scout trooper... but do NOT like his helmet being off. I think we'll have to wait until Endor to get a proper Scout trooper by himself.

I really hope they come out with a trando hunters villian pack now to team up with Bossk!

Awesomely versatile ability to make Lando easily worth 6 points

It's hard to make out the second ability, but it seems that when you Reroll, you can take the result you want to reroll, set it on a dice, then reroll the dice in question. Then you compare your newly rolled result and the previous one and choose. Which, is amazing for trying to get the most bang out of your rolling buck.

So much love for the Spy in this pack!

So, I'm probably going to just sub my painted Bossk mini as the Bossk figure for all my friendly games and use the card in the big box unless Bossk gets a sweet few cards.

Final note: Blaise seems to be modelled after 40k minis. AKA, put your helmet back on you tool, you're going to get shot.

Bossk, Lando, another character with a lightsaber! Lando even has a skirmish mission that takes you to Lothal! (Which is huge for obvious reasons). And this announcement is nearly a month earlier than anticipated!

What were you hoping for, that you might be so disappointed?

I wouldn't be when they announce the boxed expansions. They are going to announce the box and the corresponding Hero/Villain packs at the same time, just like with Descent. You know the card board characters are going to get an expansion, so there is no point in putting it off.

It is. It states in the article that it comes with a mini campaign.

I'm not surprised they ANNOUNCED the expansions... I'm just surprised the preview article for those expansions was ALSO revealed today. I mean... they could have EASILY waited until next week to do another article, don't you think?

could this mean that next week's schedule is already packed to the brim with OTHER new articles? Perhaps Armada Wave 3, X-Wing wave 9, Armada wave 4, Imperial Assault: Endor expansion, X-Wing Ground Game, and a new game:

Happy about the announcement, but Agent Blaise looks nothing like the art. That is very disappointing.

I'm excited for the mention of Lothal too in the text. I'm guessing an IA: Rebels pack will be coming at some point. Honestly, that'd get me even more excited than as exciting as these announcements are.

I agree, I was so excited to see Agent Blaise and then scroll down and I'm like "WTF...that looks stupid!" He should have had the helm on and the same pose as Fenn. That would have been golden! I mean, I'll still get him, but he'll definitely not be a villain I'll be thrilled to earn...

Davith Elso is definitely great looking and interested to see what the new "Hide" ability brings, though I'm not sure why Davith doesn't have Speed 5....

That's how Decent works I guess. I haven't played that game myself... They alternate between a big box and a small box.

Core was a big box, Twin Shadows was a small one, Return to Hoth was big, and now another small one. the prices for big and small boxes is going to be the same, because they'll generally have the same amount of stuff in them.

That means the next expansion for IA will be another big box with a full sized campaign.

I wonder what era this will be... I guess I never looked at the Twin Shadows one, and don't have Hoth... Are those different era's then the core? Hoth clearly takes place after ESB. I guess from the fluff on the article this is still between ANH and ESB since Lando is the admin for Bespin.

Bossk is fine. Lando is fine (though I question why he can join the rebellion BEFORE Empire Strikes Back and if he is a rebel why are his guard's not?) But ANOTHER jedi? You've got to be kidding... each new jedi they introduce just kills the uniqueness/importance of Luke and makes the OT closer and closer to the trash that was the prequel trilogy. By the time IA takes place the jedi are supposed to be extinct and super rare... but now we have TWO jedi heroes, as if Diala didn't break the lore already. It sure is funny that during the whole OT not once were these other jedi mentioned. Luke probably wouldn't have had to travel across half the galaxy to get any training or he probably would've brought these two with him to train under the greatest jedi ever. How are we honestly to believe this takes place alongside the movies when they keep breaking the immersion and lore like this?

Then theres the Wing Guards who from a lore stand point shouldn't be used anywhere but Bespin. Also theres the fact that these guys who work for Lando in the movies apparently don't work for him in the game and will even be shooting at him.

Also the new Imperial villian's figure looks ugly. He looks as non-combative as Leia's figure... he's basically in a pose saying "Next time Gadget next time!" and not actually doing anything in a battle. Not sure why they had to take his helmet off...

PS. And dear god I hope the next expansion isn't Rebels themed, I don't know how much more disappointment I can take.
