the other mistake with the Scyk title

That little 2 letter word "or" on the card is stopping me from putting Long Range Scanners on my Scyk.

now I'm not saying an Errata of the card to get rid of that 2 letter word is the fix it needs but it could help with putting missiles or torps on these ships or get a target lock on early and 5 K turn behind some at the first round of combat and fire a HLC with Target Lock up there ***

I know we all want to see the 2pt cost disappear but the chances of that happening are the same as me winning worlds. so maybe aiming a little lower we could see a fix that could help. a little anyway

anyone else think this would be good Idea or should I go to bed?

Even at 0 cost Z95s are still the cheapest missile platform. At the current cost? You're much better off fielding Sienar Test Pilots. I say go to bed.

You could argue that Scyks still has the cannon/torp slot with your proposed idea, but I wouldn't invest that much in a 2 hull 1 shield ship.

going now but one last thing on Wookieepdia it says they were mounted with twin light laser cannons so how about giving them a scyk only cannon 0pt roll 2 attack die twice like TLT with a built in focus, change one die to a hit range 2-3 crit range 1

They never said it was a good pair of cannons - Also thats the same weapon set of a TIE Fighter and a bunch of other ships with Attack 2. On wookiepedia they're supposed to have the similar hull to a TIE but with weak shields tho. I'm willing to see how this turns out - done enough speculating in the past.

Yeah the title should be free but if don't do that then the title should give it 1 more hull.

Like others have mentioned above, twin laser cannons are a staple for many starfighters. Your idea is viable but literally stresses both you and your opponent due to its similarity to TLT. Imagine having to roll atk dice 12 times in a single round! Also the crit modifier will be imbalanced considering you can field six of those scyks in a 100 pt squad. Consider this variation:

Twin Laser Cannons

M3A Interceptor only

Cost 4

Atk Value 4

Range 2-3

Attack: Attack 1 ship. If this attack hits, the defender suffers 2 damage. Then cancel all dice results.

With the above, you can field five PS2 scyks . This will introduce you to a highly volatile squadron - one that can punch really hard, or die really fast; a true glass cannon build. Will you take evade tokens every round, or will you Focus/TL to improve your shots? That shall be the dilemma.

I've been toying with some Syck Ideas.

Aftermarket Targeting Computer. Modification Syck Only

When attacking with a secondary weapon, you may increase or decrease the weapon range by 1 to a limit of Range 1-3. 0 points

Major Rhymers ability :P

Range 2 Autoblaster cannon? Yes Please!

Threat Control System. Modification. Syck Only

Once per round, when you are declared the target of an attack, you may increase your agility by 1 or perform free barrel roll action. The Barrel roll can make you a non viable target. 0 points

Poor omega leader (fake tears).

This discussion has been done before. The scyk suffers poor translation from lore to game. The heavy title from the mmo where the scyk comes from is also a terrible description as it implies that the upgraded version was tougher and stronger. The base scyk was already able to do weapon swap shenanigans, but for torpedoes missiles and lighter cannons only. The heavy had a larger power plant to power really heavy weapons like a hlc.
