TO is supposed to get a set. Around here the TO either puts it away for a future tournament, or if they get top 8 they pass it down to a random prize or something similar. They only walk away with one set. Kind of a punk move if they get two sets this way, but within their right to do so based on competitive level in the rules (store champs and below).
So you win a store championship, and another planned
You can use one bye at eachYou can, but you'd only have one BYE to use.If you win, can you go to 2 different regionals?
Incorrect. Per tournament rules you are allowed one bye, period.
Well I went for the fun list after winning up north before my flgs store championship. I brought
4x rookie piolt t-65
R2
Integrated astromech
1x bandit
I didn't expect it to do well at all. I ended up winning. Which I kinda feel bad about.

Yeah, it seems like people don't know this.
FFG very clearly says in the store championship kit that the bye goes to the first place player unless that player has already won a bye from another store, in which case it goes to the runner-up.
And the TOs have a web page they have to fill out the results of the event at, including providing the name of the person issued the bye, so it's not like FFG wouldn't know if someone was collecting duplicate byes or something.
I signed up for seven local Store Championships. (There were 13 scheduled in easy driving range. There are many players here attending 10 ... possibly more.)
In #1, I finished Top Eight flying Brobots.
In #2, I won, flying Brobots.
In #3, I went 1-2 (drop), flying OL / Vader / Echo. (I would not have won, but to be fair I did have the flu, including a fever, though I didn't know it at the time.)
#4 is tomorrow, and #5 is Sunday. (#6 and #7 are later in March.) I'm not sure what I'm flying, except that whatever it is will be (intended to be) competitive, but will also be outside my normal strengths as a player. I have no intention of laying down, just because I've got my Bye, but I do want to take the opportunity to fly ships I'm not practiced at flying (because I don't fly them often), even if that itself handicaps me a little bit.
