The idea is that much of what the opponent will do is going to fall basically down to dice luck or arc dodging if they can, while things like PtL and Juke give you dice mitigation that your opponent will no longer have access to.

I would only worry about bombs and auto damage.

Deathrain dropping a Conner Net followed by Seismic Charge next turn would probably be the end of Carnor. Someone would get 1 damage through on the turn you had no modifications.

Vader Crew would be a big headache against the ships with 3 hull and no shields.

Now see if you can fit in Zertik Strom as well for maximum trollage.

I had quite a bit of fun with Carnor Jax, Zeta Leader, Wampa, and Omega Leader.

It's a ship short of this list, but I had a pretty good run with it and probably would have made an 87 player SC cut if Omega Leader hadn't been one-shotted despite having the guy shooting at him locked in a play-in game (3 natural crits, one hit and no evades rolled).

I question the Targeting Computer on Jax. Its advantages over Focus are stackability with focus, persistence and a slightly higher crit chance when attacking. Jax has double action economy as opposed to Fel's triple and therefore I only see him using that Targeting Computer in two situations: when he can achieve a total arcdodge with one or fewer repositions. Against higher pilot skill you're never certain of a total arcdodge and if you don't total arcdodge you'll want to double reposition outta dodge or focus/evade. Given Carnor wants to be at Range 1, he's going to be Focus/Evading down more often than not. Soontir is a bit better with a Targeting Computer because he's always got the focus anyway.

I can't help but feel the two points for the Targeting Computer would be better served being reinvested into upgunning Dark Curse (you could get him right up to Adaptability Mithel or even /fo him) or the Academies (PS3 will still block most things you want to block but gets to shoot first against swarms)

But then I'd have the disadvantage of having to fly a TIE Advance. ;)

I question the Targeting Computer on Jax.

In certain situations the one boost or barrel roll can serve multiple instances of action economy thanks to Autothrusters. Barrel roll back into range 3, or boost/barrel roll out of arc of a turret ship, then take the TL. Or you can take an opportunistic TL while disengaging or when someone doesn't have a shot.

And last reason? Fake outs. Haven't used the tactic in a while because I stopped flying Soontir, but I've been known to TL one guy and then scramble for a different target after my opponent did all their maneuvers thinking I'm going after the Locked ship.

How about the hateful eight? :) (even if just for the name, it's bound to be fun!) (and I know this is by no means competitive ;))

That's a good looking list, OP. It makes me really happy that those particular pilots can come together into a single list!
