What's there to be ashamed about like one of the two competitive Scum builds?
FFG should be ashamed of the lack of Vipers in a competitive Scum build.

I disagree. If you're flying triple Trandoshan Slavers because you really love the name, you're probably a bad person. No list makes you a bad person, not even 4x tlt or fat han, regardless of what some people say.
Well liking slavery makes you a bad person but that is still irrespective of the triple box since what makes you a **** is not flying the thing but rather the strange reason you're flying it.
They are pretty cereal
Don't start that again, we had a whole "cereal" thread a while back... It didn't end well...
If you revisit said thread, you'll discover my true feelings on "cereal".

StarViper's problem was they were part of the initial S&V release.
There was a lot of caution in their designs of the time, and (if we're being frank) a certain lack of niche analysis tied up with too much hype (Its not like they actually stuck to the "Oh, Scum has lower PS than the others" vibe anyway - we've got a Wedge and a Han now, and they're both PS9...)
Were it being released now, I bet it'd look an awful lot more like a 3-attack TAP, and Guri and Xizor's abilities would be all the more relevant for it as a method of shoring up defense on an ace fighter.
Edited by ReiverYeah..predator feels awkward. Half the time I choose not to use it hoping the primary attack misses.I can see it going away soon.
But I use it on the hlc shot...wait..is that even allowed...can I use predator on a hlc shot instead....

Why are you making primary attacks at all? Shoot with the HLC twice.

It...hadn't occured to me.....sonofa... Hmmm...
Well I'll be.
Try fire control systems instead of predator. Saves your ept for other things like VI or Outmanvuer. I can't seem to fly my ig88s without advanced sensors, those boost and evades before kturn and sloops is game changing. Someone true to block your 4k? Boost first and kturn around them. Boost before hard 1 really sneaks around astroids.
No one should feel ashamed about any squad in the game and if anyone makes you feel shame for flying a list, they are the d-bag, not you. If it's legal, you are free to fly it. Have fun!
Remember when we used to argue about people only wanting to play Empire vs. Rebels? Or when people said they'd refuse to fly against prequel ships? My how far we've come.
i tend to enjoy Adrenaline Rush on my dual IG's but then i also like using B and D so the ability to S-loop 2 turns in a row with a hard 3 is appealing

You can use your predator to reroll a hit/crit hoping for blanks/eyeballs. Say you roll hit and three blanks. Rather than risking your opponent's green dice, you can use predator on your hit hoping for a miss giving you a higher chance of triggering IG88B's gunner ability.
Id use them if they were better looking. I should probably just break down, I think Id love them.
This has been my Bots build for the past few months;
IG88B; Wired, HLC, FCS, AT, ID, IG2000
IG88D: Wired, HLC, FCS, AT, ID, IG2000, Seismic Charge
Chose to take the risk at PS6 without VI. With IG being so reliant on his Sloops and Kturns, combined with the stress-meta (FU stresshogs), I was finding them constantly being denied actions. However, with Wired they at least can turn that negative into a positive and really make the most of those dice rolls on attack and defense. Once Tractor Beams are released, I'll prolly drop that Seismic and stick TBs on each one.
Edited by SynthetixI love dual Agressors. Such a fun ship and pilots.
I used B and D tonight against Vader and TIE adv swarm and Corran/Chewie. Nothing to be ashamed about.

Took me a long time to try them for the same reason. I ended up making them look decent ( to me anyways). So I figured I'd try em out.

Not sure if that is worst than flying 3 K because you like the sound of it....

Or you're just a wookie hater. Furry hate is a good thing, especially on the internets.
Brobots are tough, but fair. You should see the looks I get for bringing VI/ACD/SJ/Kallus Whisper, not to mention the looks I give if I see double pancakes. ![]()

Does anyone care to post their most competitive dual IG88 list? I have been wanting to play two of them and I've only heard HLC, Title, FCS, AT or SD, crackshot, ID or glitterstem is a good place to start.

yes
The one I see the most around here is B/C with HLC, Crackshot, Glitterstim, ATs and FCS.

I'm using B and D with Crackshot, FCS, AT, Title, HLC, Glitterstim. It's super aggressive.
I used to use last summer VI, AT, Inertial dampeners, HLC, Adv. sensors, title. Didn't do particularly great but I also only started competitively last summer so probably more me than the list.
I used B/C last night with sensors, AT, mangler, predator, dampeners, and tractor beam. Tractor beam pushed three ships onto asteroids and almost positioned another to fly off the board. For 1 pt TB is a nasty little opportunity cost that was surprisingly effective.
How are you all flying two? Do you keep them some what close or do you keep them far apart?
