The idea is to trigger Dodonna as much as possible. The two MC30c's, CR90, and Luke can all cause crits through shields. As I pick the crits, I can strip out shields and do other very mean things that will help the normal damage get through.

I'd love some feedback on the list. Thanks!

Looks pretty solid.

As far as getting use out of Luke, could be worth trying to put Adar Tallon on the AF2 to give Luke a second chance each turn. He's far from reliable, I've been running him the past 2 games and even with Adar Tallon I've only rolled a single crit with Luke. Which my opponent forced me to reroll thanks to Mon Mothma! Then again, only place I can really see you finding the points for that is dropping the YT-2400. If you're doing that you've got 8pts left, it's a pretty fair initiative bid, or you could look at adding Walex Blissex to Admonition.

No mention of objectives with that list.

Red I expect you'd want to take Precision Strikes for all that crit joy, though you could also consider Opening Salvo to start using those black dice sooner and get all the half-points for putting cards onto Motti ISDs/VSDs.

Yellow could probably run either Ambush (again, it gets your Black/Blue dice into use quicker), or Hyperspace (same reason really).

Blue, well, Dangerous Territory works with Dodonna. Superior Position is ok too as you've got some squadrons and fast ships.

Rule clarification for this list: Assault Proton Torpedoes. Those can put a damage on a ship even if I don't punch through the shields?

Follow up: if the defender has no shields and is taking say... 1 hit and 1 crit from a black die. That counts for 2 damage and I can spend the crit to put a face up damage card (a 3rd card)?

Correct. Only the card from Assault Proton Torpedoes will be faceup since you can only resolve one critical effect.

I've used something very similar, Akhrin said it best....get Adar Tallon on this list. A 1 shot Luke will let you down, the extra activation from Adar makes me feel a bit more secure. I don't like Leading Shots on the CR90...just my opinion, although I run a CR90 list with nothing but SW-7's. Talk about death by a 1000 paper cuts....

Correct. Only the card from Assault Proton Torpedoes will be faceup since you can only resolve one critical effect.

So in the case of one black die with 1 hit & 1 crit... with Assault Proton Torpedoes, that would works like

1. I spend the crit to put one faceup card on the ship

2. I then put an additional 2 damage on the defender.

Basically takeing a 1hit/1crit die and making it a total of 3 damage (with the first faceup)?

I like GIJoseph's list. They're fairly similar though. I made a similar list too. It had an MC80 and only two A Wings instead of an AFMkII and the fighters you have. I also used Turbolaser Reroute Circuits on the Scout Frigates, but no Ordnance Experts.

I found the following:

Ordnance Experts are worth it (I didn't have any and in about four shots at close range with the MC30s I didn't get a single crit).

Dodonna's Pride was too short ranged - I always wanted to move an MC30 before Dodonna's Pride and that meant the opponent would move out of range of her before I could shoot.

The MC80 was too slow compared to the others - I think the AFMkII is a better idea.

TRCs are awesome. They make the Scout Frigates deal useful damage the whole game.

So I'd probably swap out Adar Tallon and maybe Boosted Comms and the SW-7 for TRCs. I don't know whether Adar is worth it just so Luke can attack twice (when he's in range), whereas the TRCs deal extra damage pretty much every turn. Not a big difference though, comes down to what you enjoy.

You have to choose the effect from the crit:

Either the default effect, dealt the first damage card face up;

Or

use the crit to power the Assault Proton torpedoes / Assault concussion missiles etc. effects and the crit goes away.

Otherwise cards like Assault Concussion Missiles are giving you 3 hits for 10 points, which is would be underpriced.
