Hello everyone,

I'm attending my first tournament on this game and I have no plans to reach the top, but at least i would like to avoid being last! I don't want to play the TLT Ys or Brobots (btw, i'm playing scums) so i took my two favorite ships and tried to get a decent-casual list.

I feel it is very brittle so i was wondering how to improve it and what do you think are the list's main weaknesses.

Any help will be well received and thanks in advance!

Guri — Predator, Advanced Sensors, Inertial Dampeners, Stealth Device, Virago. Ship Total: 41

Boba Fett (Scum) — Veteran Instincts, K4 Security Droid, Glitterstim. Ship Total: 45

Binayre Pirate — Dead Man's Switch. Ship Total: 14

I have an older post somewhere around here where I pretty much theory crafted that Boba and Xizor could work well together, though I never flew it myself (so take this with a few dozen grains of salt).

If you're looking to fly a Firespray/Starviper, I think that Boba Fett and Xizor have some real potential. Hope this is helpful.

Here is the list:

I'd go Autothrusters instead of Stealth Device on Guri. SD gets shot off way too quickly, especially with all the TLTs flying around now. You'll get more mileage with ATs. With the point saved you can get Sensor Jammer for even more durability. I don't think Advanced Sensors is really all that necessary on Guri, especially with Predator.

On Boba I'd go for Recon Specialist instead of K4. He gets re-rolls at range 1 anyway, and Rec Spec is pretty nice on a Firespray to help them live a bit longer. I would like to fit in engine Upgrade on Fett, but you'd have to drop Glitter and the Dead man's switch.

Which brings me to the Pirate. Dead Man's switch just isn't very good. It only goes off once and has a chance to backfire on you. I've actually hurt myself several times with it (I have since abandoned it altogether). Feedback Array is so much better on a Pirate. It creates a no-fly zone around the Pirate for the likes of Soontir Fel and Whisper. Even if you only get 1 damage out of the Pirate, if its against Soontir, its done its job. It makes getting blocked by the Z even worse.

I would like to fit in engine Upgrade on Fett, but you'd have to drop Glitter and the Dead man's switch.

EU on PS10 Boba is a good impulse. Scrap Inertial Damps, Dead Man's switch and move Guri's SD to autothrusters to fit it in, if you decide to roll with this list. That's how I'd do it.

Ok, I'm liking the idea of the Prince + Boba so I think I might fly this

I was actually interested in CBMarkham's list, above, and so I've used it a few times.

However, I prefer push the limit + advanced sensors instead of predator (I'm not recommending it though---its not easy to use, whereas predator is much easier).

I think its decent. Its not forgiving of mistakes though, so you do have to fly carefully. The pirate dies quick, but that's okay. He's basically ablative wounds for the prince. Once you get the opponent focussing on Boba, Xizor can get some work done by working his way in behind.

Besides, I needed an excuse to fly Boba Fett, and I love star vipers.

Very probably. HLC or a second tactician are both gud. Real gud.

Push the limit rarely affects s-loops

I use push through advanced sensors with a green on the dial like 90% of the time. Only if I see a really really good reason to end the turn stressed (like boost + BR for a key arc-dodge/block, or TL + focus to end a damaged ship, or some such)

Ok, everytime I see the title of this thread it bugs the heck out of me. So I'm going to go ahead and say it...

The Firefly-class ship is a Mid-Bulk Transport used in the tv show Firefly and movie Serenity.

The Firespray-31 is a patrol and attack craft used in Star Wars.
