Ed's Mask of the Pirate Queen ICC

By biotech66, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

"How much... and how soon?" Plo replies bluntly

Enzo fails to attract the attention of a nearby Twi-Lek waitress and gives it up. Smiling at Plo's answer he elaborates.

"Yeah, the cash and timescales are important. So is a full briefing. We would need a full list of vehicles you have lost, where you lost them, cargo types, and any other pertinent information you may have on this Queen. I'm already guessing she doesn't just parade around in her pirate flagship, so we may need to infiltrate the operation."

He turns to the others,

"And yes that means we can't go running in with blasters shooting everyone. Yet at least..."

You potential boss nods as you want to get down to brass tacks and says Time is not as much an issue. The attacks only started in the last month. We would like this dealt with quickly, but we also realize that false promises and unrealistic goals will only hurt our efforts. I would appreciate regular updates, and if you don't demonstrate significant progress across a measurable timetable, say across a week, we would have to terminate our contract. We would not like it to come to that. As for the pay, we are prepared to offer 10,000 credits, payable as required and requested, to each crew member who undertakes the job. These men, women, and droids would be expected to sign contracts at the start so no surprises can arise during our time working together. Is that agreeable and do you have any other questions?

to negociate, it is a hard (4 purple dice) challenge. However, due to your research and awesome rolls, you get five white on the roll

Five White? Don't you mean five blue?

Giving a boost to the check with my assistance, in fact we all should, giving whoever's making the check get three extra boosts.

I'm rocking a 3 Presence with 1 rank in Negotiate, if anyone has a higher in one or the other then we can do a combined check.

I looked, you're the highest.

Cool, do I add 8 Boost then? If so here's the check;

ZC negotiate roll: 2eA+1eP+8eB+5eD 0 successes, 6 advantage

a-a-a.pnga-a-a.pngp-a.pngb-a.pngb-a-a.pngb-s-a.pngb-a.pngb--.pngb--.pngb--.pngb-s-a.pngd-f-th.pngd-f-th.pngd-th.pngd-th.pngd-th.png

"Plo's natural ability to negotiate is simply not enough to convince her to up the payment in credits. Even the leverage he had and all the assistance of the rest of the group could not help. But through swift thinking, his prior investigations and the little interjections from the rest of the group Plo convinces her not all bonuses need to be in credits, she offers up something big"

So she won't go higher on the price... But with 6 Advantage there must be something thrown in? Some sweet gear, an upgrade for the ship... A new ship! Or perhaps some kind of stake in ZC or subsidiary of them, some ongoing kickback funds. Last idea is a Base of Operations, a location to use, perhaps a business that's not doing so well and needs new management or a small space station.

Anyone have ideas on this? 6 advantage is quite powerful

Who want's a CR-90?

Me!Me! Pick Me!

Me!Me! Pick Me!

Alright shoot, what do you got?

We can gave one of either of those as a bonus or something. Instead of a CR90. ;)

Too small! A CR-90 with retro hanger bays is the bomb, big guns, support fighters. Awesome

Yes I agree, now negotiate for it already!

But how are we going to man it?

But how are we going to man it?

Droids, or the Zann Consortum.

That's what minions are for. There is a lot of potential for telling a story in running a ship, I'm sure I'll GM a game of it one day.bits the same as running a Base, farm or space station.

You try your best to out maneuver the women, but she gets the better of you. Ok hotshot, how about this-you do this well, we'll put you on retainer and you can join up above the grunts. I could you a crack team that I have ready to roll. We'd pay better in the future if you do well on this job. So, no extra pay now, but much better pay in the future. Are you in?

Knowing when to take what's on offer Plo responds "Sure, let's do this"

Enzo waits for the others to finish their requests for the Zann Consortium to throw in a gunship worth many times their original offer, a look halfway between boredom and disbelief. When the request is inevitably squashed, and the request for an answer called, he nods.

"Yes. I'm in,"

Hunting pirates. Well at least this lot would get their fix of violence. In fact it was one of those times he was grateful to have them around.

I'm in. Two questions,First, where have the attacks been focused? Any particular sector, or just all around? Second, do you want her dead or alive?

Venlana nods in approval, then removes a small datapad from a pocket inside her jacket. She activates it, scanning its screen briefly before starting Your first lead is an individual named Graf Lind. He was one of the Sorority's brigands, until he lost favor with them six years ago. Though nearly killed by his former friends, he managed to escape. We have discovered his current whereabouts-a dwelling in a local slum. His information is surely outdated, but he may have valuable intel.

The second lead is Drezo Wasanti. He is a fence who operates his business near the starport. He came to our attention when he attempted to sell one of our agents some of our own goods, pillaged in one of the Sorority's recent raids. He must have some connections to the pirates, given he is obviously dealing in goods they have stolen.

The last lead isn't a person so much as a resource. our slicers uncovered a data node called 'SororiNet.' Though ostensibly used to schedule tours of Saleucami's more rugged wastelands, the name alone is suspicious, and its security level is far too high for a mere tourism outfit. Should you have expertise in slicing, you might be able to learn more there.

Turning to the man with the questions We would like here alive to experience justice. However, if she does die, we require proof that the body is the person we are after. As for a location, the attacks have been across the board leading us to wonder about the security of our organization, both within and without... At the last word, she looks around the bar.

Do you have any other questions?

"I need a bigger gun, can I get one from you?" Mayellen says, pulling her blaster pistol and setting it on the table "I hear disruptors are in season, can I get some of my payment in advance?"

To the Group

I say we go after Drenzo, capture him, and do some, "Aggressive Negotiations"

"You speak as if you suspect inside help, are there any you actually trust within the Zan Consortium? oh and when we have uncovered more info, how do we reach you to report?"

Once hearing the answers, and anyone else's questions, Plo will begin following up on this Graf individual. With whoever is interested in accompanying him he will begin to investigate.

When everyone else is happy to move on whats the checks and difficulties to find Graf? also whats the area like, you said slums, Plo likes to be discreet and is looking for any signs of trouble
