Ffg could make a quest vault competition. Awards could be an early release product..... cmon ffg!!!
Quest vault competition!
I think this is a great idea. I'd love to see the quest vault get more activity, and something like this seems like a great way to encourage people to get to know it.
I've had some thoughts. If you're serious about having this competition, I think there are a few important questions that need to be answered first.
1) Can this competition legally have a prize? (Do FFG's terms of use for the vault prohibit a monetary reward for making a quest?) I doubt it is prohibited, but best to check.
2) If a prize is allowed, what sort of prize(s) should there be? How would they be funded, if necessary?
3) When would this competition occur? Will it be open to submission for a period of days? weeks? Will it be a longer term thing with a "map of the week" or something?
4) How will winners be evaluated? Will there be a panel of community members judging?
5) What sorts of requirements should there be for submissions? Should quests use any/all expansions, or will there be a limit (for example, base game + 1 other tile set)?
