the major's mayan calender: upcoming Imperial aces and their projected impact on imperial diversity

By ficklegreendice, in X-Wing

I think triple Glaives with X7 and Juke will be a thing once Imp Vets drops.

Honestly I think Defenders being OP will be a good thing for the meta. With Juke and x7 and 3 attack dice they'll be good at killing aces, with 3+ PS they'll be good against quad tilts, they should be good against fat turrets, yet they'll encourage more homing missiles. So they have good matchups against a lot of stuff in the current meta while themselves not having super pilot skill and not having good repositional ability. So they'll play like actual jousters. When they do a 3 hard they /actually do a 3 hard/, not 3 hard and boost and barrel roll at a higher PS.

So yes, bring on a meta dominated by ordnance and Defenders. I'm just scared that instead of running 3 of them, everyone will just add Juke x7 Vessery to Palp Aces. >_>

Defenders being OP and running 3 of them = My body is ready.

Defenders being OP and just adding to Acewing = Not okay.

Except that the Glaives are more than likely 34 pts. So, I'm not seeing how you can get 3 w/Juke.

Yup

Wedge's offense is as far removed from fel as fel's defense is from wedge

Erm. TL + Focus vs 4 Evades + multiple Focus + Evade + Palp + Autothrusters? Because Soonts can control the range better with the better dial and both of the postmaneuver actions.

And both are tied to green moves, but only one of the ships has green moves barely better than a Y-Wing.

Be fair. Green banks move from 'terrible' to 'galactic standards'.

That K-wings got better than a Y, of course, still annoys me. ;)
