the t-70 is also already overcosted. Given its stats, it should've been 22 points. The rookie pilot would've been balanced with the B's jousting value if it had 6 health at 21 points

imo, the knave might even been too much to ask for at 22 points. Even at B-wing levels, it's a PS lower and only sports a single agi over the rookie squadron. Might make a half decent jouster @ 25 with FCS and r2 astro, or just sensors

Blackmoon at 24 is also quite meh, being only a ps over the blue novice.

Eathn's trickier because he has a decent ability and can get nuts with PTL + r2-d2. At 26, youd have a ps 5 ptl regenerator for 33 points; 36 with sensors. Personally doubt that'd hold a handle to Poe, but it's something to watch out for.

Only corran's shown to have any competitive backbone, and with all the TLTs running around he's popping up less and less

T 70 brutally overcosted? I don't think so. As allways the Superguys like Poe eclipse the poor grunts. 22 pts a Blue B, 24 a Blue Novice. If a T 70 is brutally overcost... better lets not talk about Hwk Es,, T 65 or Loaded TIE Bombers, Punishers, etc.

the generic HWKs, Es, T65s and Punishers are even more overcosted (in the ascending order of T-65, T-70, Es/Punisher genuinely can't tell which is worse, HWK without upgrades)

the generic Tie bomber is actually very efficient if run without anything. Cant say I'd reconmend them with ordnance before the wave 8 fixes, though homing missiles + seismic + extras are real good fun

When they announced wave 4 I was really hoping that the E-wing would be a good mix of the A-wing's maneuverability and the X-wing's power and sturdiness. I was really hoping to be able to just slap on R2 astro, PtL and a Stealth Device and have it flying alongside my A-wings, but it can't keep up at all. So I'm still very disappointed with them. I hope they get some titles to choose between, like the defenders.

Agreed. While they're not inherently as good arc-dodgers as Interceptors, no other ship is. A barrel roll can get one out of a lot of arcs. Plus, slap PTL and EU on there and you've got a top-line arc dodger, albeit not a very cost efficient one.

I may be in the minority, but I think the E-wing is actually think it's *worse* than the pre-fix TIE Advance. The generics are laughably bad for the points... they were conceived with the overcosted T-65 as a baseline and then overcosted again for he improvements. It's a shame, because they have such nice upgrade bars, but you can't afford to put anything on them without driving the cost I to the realm of utter absurdity.

Corran being the sole exception, of course. His ability is solid, but it's really the combination of his high PS, VI, and R2-D2 that make him a superstar.

I would also say that the HWK-290 was a pretty big failure. There was absolutely no reason in the world that it needed a primary weapon value of 1 AND the worst dial in the game.

The TLT gives the HWK a decent turret option (though it's at a hefty cost!) and the new damage deck has made it impossible to lose the turret; both of these give it a bit of help. But it's still kinda crappy. I'm hoping it gets a little love at some point.

Personally I like the E's, in my group we play to the last ship standing and I have found with some fancy flying and the right astro's, a Corran and Etahn 100pt Squad can hold their own to the bitter end in most cases I have had them in.

They do cost around 3 points too much, aside from Corran with his ability, but my biggest complaint about them is the lack of diversity in the pilots. I would love to see FFG include them in a Rebel Veterans pack and have pilots that adjust the costs enough to make them valuable along with the current ones.

With Corran as the pilot with the most table time for the E's, I beg the question, where is his R2 unit "Whistler", Please FFG, Give me a Whistler R2 astro card.

Corran is, IMO, the best ace in the game. PtL, Adv Sensors, R2-D2, and engine, I'll gladly take against any other ace. His PS of 8 makes it a little trickier to face ships like Fel, but he should still win that battle 9 out of 10 times.

Fel can't go slow. If Fel gets behind, barrel roll back, and one straight until he's back in front. Set the target lock on a turn where you know Fel can't shoot. Double tap when you can and wait for his dice to fail.

He has to play aggressively because in a timed game, the 14 point difference means a loss, whereas Corran can afford to slow roll and regenerate.

And I guess that's kind of my point, Fickle. Part of the value of an E-wing ace is their cost in a way. With PtL and R2-D2 they are very hard to kill. If a game goes to time, you've got half your points on the board. If we're talking about whether or not E-wings are costed appropriately, we should not just be looking at cost efficiency as a production for points relationship. There's also value in MoV for having a 50 point ship that will not f***ING die!!
