I play often the blue novice x4 listed above, Easy to fly, and often seen as a "poor" list. But you can.do some nasty blockade job and range one shooting squad

It's a valid point you're making, but let's be careful with the use of the word "max". BroBots that move after their intended target often target lock, which can re-roll results into critical hits, which the astromech can do nothing about.

crappy dice are the bane of anything in this game, especially jousters which derp around with only basic modifiers and no extra attacks. Being able to just go "nah, **** your lucky rolls" and punch through 3+ agility is invaluable

Okay, I'll give crackshot a try.
Crackshot is OP because it allows you to spend it after the defender modifies his dice.
Eg you got 2 hits, and defender rolls 2 evades and a focus and has focus or evade token. IF the defender doesn't use any tokens you can use crackshot to give him 1 dmg (and destroy stealth device if he has one). IF the defendes uses focus or evade token, then you don't use crackshot, but the defender wastes token.
And then you got 3-4 more ships which crackshots. It's ******* OP.

All being 4's they will have an advantage against other Joust lists and some protection from Predator.
