Can we get a heads up on when Xwing events will be posted in Gen Con event registration. I know its a bit early, I dont want to be left behind the power curve if FFG events arnt post on opening day.

Gen Con registration starts in May. The event schedule is usually posted a week or two beforehand.
I have been to GenCon twice before, but both were prior to my Xwing habit. I have a few questions for those of you who have attended this awe inspiring event.
Is the setup like what I see for the Hoth event: a tourney on Thursday and Friday with the top players of each day meeting on Saturday?
If so, what is considered the better day to sign up for?
Is either day regularly booked before the other?
Do both days fill up fast?
Does either day sport more competetive players than the other?
If by chance you make the cut for the Saturday (if that's how it works) is there an advantage to playing on Thurs or Fri? (i.e. day of rest between or such) (miracle dream here)
How many rounds are there each day?
Overall, I just plan to have fun, but I was just wondering. Thanks for any and all input.

Last year, it was simply a massive tournament (and an 11-round day for those who were still in competition for the cut) on Day 1 with a 16-player single-elimination cut on Day 2. There are no details yet on what tournament structure they'll use this year.
Do not expect a food break. ![]()

Dang...talk about your marathon. I would hope they switch it to something like the Hoth tourney. A hanger bay style event for GenCon would also be welcome.
I didnt make the Xwing event last year because it sold out so fast. It also didnt help that its 10am Thursday!
Making plans to be there early enough this year and get a ticket.
