What type of interesting shenanigans can you come up with for the mad bomber Sabine Wren crew card?

Your upgrade bar gains the [bomb] upgrade icon. Once per round, before a friendly bomb token is removed, choose 1 enemy ship at Range 1 of that token. That ship suffers 1 damage.


For example ... on the VCX1000 or B-Wing/E2, you can use her plus the two one torpedo slots to load 3 2 Proton Bombs for 9 7 points (plus crew and other upgrades).

I sort of wish she were Imperial or Scum ... because bombers and Firesprays.

Extra munitions is limited so you can't get 3 "bomb drops" on the B-wing or VCX.

You can however get 6 "bomb drops" on a K-wing, which sounds like glorious fun.

Drat. The squad builder I was using didn't limit me.

Now what I find most intriguing with Sabine is that she gives Ion Bombs a damage.

Sabine on tha Tantive IV would work also. Can manage to get Extra Munitions there and you are certainly moving last, so you'll always have a great opportunity to drop proton bombs.

I look forward to the day someone kills a ship with a bomb dropped from a HWK.

Prox Mines are also Bombs.

​Anything that goes in the slot that eventually detonates is a Bomb.

Does each individual part of a Cluster Mine set count? If so, now they're amazing.

Seismics also get a pretty good buff, and Protons can now just, 'lol direct hit and an extra damage" to TIEs now.

But those Cluster Mines. That's 3 damage plus the green dice damage they roll if you explode all 3. You hit something with all 3 parts and that's 3 damage plus probably 2 from the damage rolls.

You're damaging yourself 3 times doing it, but that doesn't stop Vader. 3 health on a B-Wing for Soontir? You got it dude.

Oh. God forbid bombs actually be good and the meta revolve around them.

"Ugh, wave 9's meta sucks, sick and tired of having to face some triple Punisher no skiller dropping 12 sets of Cluster Mines. Can't wait for wave 10 to come out so I can use mine flails."

They do, but its only once per round.

​Still, it isn't terribly difficult to plonk it down so that one tile overlaps this round, and they run through another next round.

More to the point, they now hold the domain of Zone Denial that they were once intended to hold. And that's pretty awesome.

I'm looking forward to putting Sabine into my 3 K-Wings with 12 bombs squad. I love flying that list, nobody has figured out how to really fly against it yet.

So, my thoughts on saline is there's solid pieces in the rebel control family that came take sabine, bombs, or both, I see no reason she can't find a home there.

I like the B-wing idea.. Hows this for B-wing design.

Better fly it alongside Biggs, because you just stacked a ton of points on a ship that dies just as quickly and easily as a 22pt Blue Squadron pilot.

You're even missing out on some of the fun. With the extra points you can give Ors a bomb (seismic) one of the ys r3a2, and put tactician on the Ors for extra evil.

Tactician on the ORS would mean dropping Goldenrod, losing that much survivability and Sabine activations. :P.

I'm going to kidnap Sabine and strap her in the back of my Punisher, because Rebels with turrets galore do not need buffs to their bombs!

Ooh, Bigs and a Stress Hog with 2x flechet torpedoes! Great Idea :D

I'll be using Sabine to replace Tactician in my Drunken Albatross list. Been doing OK with it in store champs around Brisbane (2/4 (losing to winner and top 4) and 3/2 (12th out of 35)), while rarely getting any value out of Tactician. I think Sabine would have won me at least one of my losses in each event, as I dropped at least 3 bombs in all but one game (where I got hit by Thug Life and flew badly with the Warden).
