Break the Rune card: Blast or not?

By wesg92, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Just wanted clarification on this, as some other rules in the FAQ leave out sentences on cards, quests, etc. because it's unchanged.

My Break the Rune card says:

“Perform an attack with a Rune weapon. This attack ignores range and targets each other figure within 3 spaces and in your line of sight. Each figure rolls defense dice separately. This attack cannot be affected by blast.“

The FAQ says:

This card should read, “Perform an attack with a Rune weapon. This attack ignores range and targets each other figure within 3 spaces and in your line of sight. Each figure rolls defense dice separately. “

So, is the FAQ saying that the card shouldn't contain the last sentence, or did they just leave it out because it didn't change and my card text is up-to-date?

My understanding is that the attack still cannot be affected by blast. The errata tends to only include the lines that are changed.

I agree, but would love an official wording.

I would ask FFG.

Submitted! Thanks.

Got a response from FFG today.

"The entirety of the card should read as stated in the FAQ, so it should not contain the last sentence."

Therefore, it can be affected by blast.

Then the skill actually starts making sense. So long, 2nd act reanimates.

I admit, I somehow always missed the three space part when looking at the card (and that makes it a bit more useful because otherwise it would be a nightmare not to get massive friendly fire)...

I think it still is too expensive at 4 fatigue, Quick Casting will usually be more useful.
