The things that can be selected only once are labeled as such. The default is each thing once. Sorry, your 7 advantages are not turning into 7 boosts.
All answers were given already, but here are my two cents ^^
1. advantages are tie-breakers,
but if my players roll a Triumph they get the first slot in the first round. From second round on they get the normla slot compared to sucsesses
2. The Talents only give the bonuses as writen down.
If my players succsesfully suprise theire taget I give them one free round before the enemy is able to roll initative. (and of course vise versa)
3. in battle my players chooses how to spend the GMs threats according to the list. In all other checks, they may offer theire suggestions, but ultimatly I decide for the game flow.
4. If minios or normal rivals take strain, they just get it as wounds, the wounds appear in the same manner as the strain would, so it depends on the source of the "Brain" damage: Stunweapon or hitted by a fist: soak applies, rivals takin a second manuveur to aim: no soak, a Diplomat usig scything tirath: no soak.
That´s why a stun Grenade is one of the best abilitys to wipe the floor with stormtroopers.
5. Initative check only before the first round, afterwards they can decide freely within their slots.
