How You Expect to Lose to Rhan Tegoth?

By DeepOneRisen, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

So, how do you expect to lose when Rhan Tegoth is your Ancient One? A quick filling of the doom track followed by a horribly long, arduous, and inevitably brutal loss in an epic final battle? Yeah, that's what I thought too. But instead after 12 rounds of play, his doom track was only 6, we had only closed two gates, we had only successfully made it through two Other Worlds after about 10 attempts and many visits to Lost in Time and Space, and on turn 12 with 5 of our 6 investigators hanging out in Lost in Time and Space, we decided to draw an Environment (Weather) card to put the Third Act in play and lose. Not exactly how you expect to lose to Rhan.

Well played Mr. Tegoth, well played.

LOL, spectacular ending :)

But I never lost against Rhan :P

thats because you never play against him julia!

*whistle*

(actually, it's 7-0...)

But I never lost against Rhan :P

Yet. You've never lost against Rhan yet. It's really just an inevitability, right? I mean, that's just a rule of Arkham Horror. It will come. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but it will come, as certain as the sun rises, it will come.

LOL, very true. If only I had time to play... my last game dates back to July, 5th, 2015, a defeat during Epic Final Battle in a colossal match against Cthulhu and the Black Goat of the Woods. Got 3 surges in the first 5 Mythos, and one double doomer. Don't want my Arkham career to end this way!!!
