Meanwhile, I downloaded “ Strange Eons ” and gave that a try. Suffice it to say that I definitely find it to be “strange” and I feel like it would take me “eons” to learn how to use it.

Yep I took a look at the developer tools a while back. It needs someone smarter then me. BUT, if someone completed an addon for Star Wars, it would be a god send for us. I created pages upon pages of cards for FFG's Warhammer (same system as Star Wars) that looked great with little effort. We just need someone with the time and smarts to develop a Star Wars addon. I've been asking for that from time to time for years at various places and so far no takers.

I was trying Strange Eons for x-Wing and it works great!, it is easy to use, but... I would need the templates, or whatever is necesary to build custom cards for Edge of Empire... do you have any luck finding something to help us to use strange eons for EOE?

No, I haven’t done any Weapons cards, and I haven’t been keeping up on the armor, either.

The problem is that there are so few weapons or armors that have good lineart available, it just doesn’t seem worthwhile to me to try to build cards for those without also building cards for all the other weapons and armors — but then what would I use for the pictures?

So, I’ve kind of given up on this project.

No I haven't. I call for such from time to time and check Strange Eons, but alas no one with the time or smarts has attempted the task.

Not recently. I decided that since there were so few pieces of armor that have line drawings done that it probably wasn’t worth it to me to keep doing them.

But if someone can give me some suggestions of things that I could add in the same style, you might be able to convince me to get restarted.

That's too bad, I love the work you've done with the Armors, I'd love to see it on other items as well (Weapons, gear), that would be great. If everything else fail, for those that don't have line art, colour art would do, wouldn't it?

It was certainly my plan to take everything that had line art and do up cards for them. At least there, we have canonical images from FFG as to what these things are supposed to look like.

The converse is true for everything else — we might have color images that someone has done somewhere, and maybe they’re taken from canonical sources (e.g., movies, TV series, etc…) and maybe they’re not. But if the images in question didn’t actually come from FFG, it would be much harder for me to determine whether or not it was accurate. And I’m not really interested in doing anything that I can’t be reasonably certain is accurate. And no, just because it’s found on Wookieepedia doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s accurate.

I’m also not really interested in doing things where I have multiple different types of art that I would be using — all line art or all color art would be fine, but I don’t really want to do a mix.

So, I’m kinda stuck.

If someone wanted to put together a list of good quality line art or color art images that we could be pretty certain was accurate, then I’d be happy to look at doing the cards to match — either extend the line of work I’ve already done if it was line art, or re-do the work with color art instead.

I think these images come from “The New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology”, but the scans themselves are relatively low quality. I have that book, and I could do my own high-quality scans.

But this is still just a small selection of weapons and technology that we can find from that book.

So I made this. It's just hacked out, to give an idea of what we have available, but this shows every weapon and armor in F&D with images where I could find them. The [image not found] pictures indicate that there are line arts in the books, but I don't have the scan.
