Recently I was going to go to a SC, but pre-registered a day too late

Anyway, I got lucky and there is another SC going on in my neck of the woods and I'm already registered. That being said, I'm looking for advice on these two lists I've spent time looking at. The Scum list I am more comfortable flying, as I am used to all of the ships, while the Imperial one I am slightly more nervous about, as I don't fly Defenders often. I'll have about three weeks to practice with whichever I choose, so I'm not too worried about the comfort level. I would just like some advice on the balance of the lists/any tips or tricks you guys can offer. Thanks!

If you don't have a lot of experience with the TIE defender, then don't take it to a SC. Its a surprisingly hard ship to use well, so take it only if you feel absolutely good about it.

As to your scum list, I would try to put predator on Kavil. VI doesn't really help him much, whereas predator would turn him into a killing machine with that 4 die turret. You can drop the double unhinged to get it.
