X-wing for sale in Disney World?

By HessDog, in X-Wing

Does anyone know if there is any FFG X-wing stuff for sale in any of the shops on the Disney properties in Orlando? I am taking a business trip to Disney World, and as part of the gig I am usually presented with a massive Disney gift card that I struggle to find a use for. It would be great to be able to use it for X-wing goodies! Has anyone hunted through the parks with X-wing in mind?

Thanks,

RAH

There wasn't any when I was there last year, and I was there for their Star Wars Weekends.

Although there are some interesting things in the Star Tours gift shop at Hollywood studios.

No X-Wing stuff that I saw in January, and I was looking. Some pretty great things at the Star Wars Launch Bay, though...life-size statues of Boba Fett and such.

No X-Wing but if your gift card is massive enough, you can order Anovos Star Wars costumes/armor among other things. Hit up the Studios and check out the Star Wars Launch Bay area that opened recently.

Part of the reason why they may not sell it is that it isn't actually produced by Disney. Similar questions were asked in a Games-Workshop store as to why they don't stock the Warhammer games produced by Fantasy Flight. It simply is not their product to sell. Yes, FFG has the licence to produce the games under the Star Wars title, but that does not mean Disney owns the product.

Sounds like a massive missed opportunity for them to me. :)

I was just there recently (for the first time ever) a few weeks ago. While they don't limit it to only Disney products, they didn't have any X-wing stuff. Hollywood Studios was the primary Star Wars place and there were some decent shirts and what not.

They were selling the Anovos Stormtrooper armor which will set you back about $1,800 or just the Helmet at $280. I was surprised to see them for sale there but I'm glad I ordered mine back on May 4th when the kit was only $350 total.

is Anovos Stormtrooper armor 501st approved?

Sounds like a massive missed opportunity for them to me. :)

No no no, no one wants the mouse to get involved with X-wing, $35 for a T-70 would be no fun.

No Xwing that I know of, but a ton of shops and restuarants have opened up at disney springs. Pretty wide variety of things you can get there

It should be if you trim and assemble it correctly. It's a lot of work which is why I mostly went with easier costumes such as TIE Pilot and AT-AT Driver.

Sounds like a massive missed opportunity for them to me. :)

For both companies.
