In the latest FAQ, the wording of the card is the following:

“Exhaust this card after you or your Reanimate resolves an attack. Choose 1 monster defeated by that attack and test knowledge

It explicitly limits the use of Dying Command to 1 monster. The necromancer and the reanimate can perform attacks that target and defeat multiple monsters. With the old wording, the necromancer could trigger the abilities as many as times as monster were defeated.
