So our store championship is tomorrow and I've been toying with 2 lists, both of which play very differently haha. I'd love for any critiques of tips on flying either of these fleets. Hopefully I spark some ideas in someone else ![]()
List 1: Objective is to have my corvettes get in and take out some defense tokens. The MC80 and Neb then come in to clean up house. The MC80 is very hard to bring down, in fact in 6 games it's never died. The Neb is easy to bring down, but with good squadron placement Nym and Luke can double tap for some serious damage/effects. I've had instances where the Neb and corvettes each attack round 2 and between the Intel Officers and Nym, 3 braces were down and you can guess where the game went from there. Now that is rare, but usually one corvette will knock out a brace in a game, and Nym will knock out a second or a redirect. I've also tried flying all my ships at speeds 1 and 2 so on round 2 or 3 I have 4 ships firing at 1 or 2 targets and if it's round 3 Nym and Luke are double tapping. Dodonna and double taps from those two heroes usually leaves a ship with 3-4 damage cards in hand. This fleet is fun but it does suffer from heavy bomber lists or heavy ackbar lists. All my ships excluding the MC80 can be killed by one good roll.

List 2: I really like this list because no one in my meta uses more than 5 squadrons, typically I see 2-3. The objective with this fleet is to fly them away from direct fire constantly turning to keep pursuing opponents off my rear and in my side arc. While I only have two ships they're supported by 10 A wings. I've ran this list against Rhymer balls, Dengar +Howlrunner and Interceptors (Interceptors rolling 5 + a reroll, and Counter 4 + a reroll....yeah Dengargedon is pain in the arse), and Rebel Bombers. Each time the enemy either engages early on and gets destroyed, or they wait long enough for those A wing's TEN black dice to eliminate at least one ship. More often then not I find myself being chased while my A wings can jump the closest ship in pursuit. They go in and have a 75% of doing 7.5 damage. They've killed plenty of raiders on their own, a few gladiators, MC30s and have pushed through enough hull for my two MC80's to clean house (both have X17s) in one turn on ships like the ISD. It's a fun list to run, however it struggles against fleets with 3 or more very maneuverable ships. I do find that more often then not I lose 3-5 A wings and that's it. In 5 games I've won them all and only lost 1 MC80 in my first game. My opponents drool over killing an MC80 on round 3 or 4 but alas the ships that find themselves close enough often die (I usually have initiative) from taking 5 black dice from my A wings, and then 6 dice from MC80. All to the same hull. Clutch repair commands have spared an MC80 twice ![]()
