Punisher, Salve 1 and Shuttle list

This is my new list idea.

the idea of this list is to have Deathrain be your heavy hitter while the two large ships draw enemy fire. This is also 29 total hit points to chew through, so its harder for your opponent to destroy your ships before they are destroyed.

Deathrain really should have exactly nothing to do with missiles or torpedoes. Dude's a bomber through and through. For anything rocket propelled, you go to redline. If you have cluster missiles, fcs and a punisher, you can easily run a more effective FCS Deathrain with Cluster Missiles, Plasma torpedoes and extra munitions

If you want a heavy hitter, you won't get a better one out of the punisher

cluster mines are fairly jank, imo, with the average of 6 3/8 rolls being 2.25 (so 2). Conner nets are easily the bomb of choice (no screwing around with garbage rng) and proxies do about as much damage as cluster mines (Because it counts crits), only slightly less so when every single cluster mine hits the same target.

similarly, ordnance is something you'll learn is simply not worth it without some considerable investment. See, FFG really dropped the ball by overvaluing their offensive impact and therefore underpowering them. Those four points of torps barely hits harder than the bounty hunter's primary with a focus, and it's four points. A naked firespray will, overall, serve you far better than one wasting time with torpedoes

There are few exceptions and Redline is one of them. Double target locks on the same target let you spend to fire ordnance and still have a lock leftover to re-roll your dice. Once Wave 8 is released, guidance chips will make ordnance far more useful overall. It's a 0 point fix to a very old problem.

I think a 2 attack ship with the new guidance computer can make use out of ordinance, but yeah I agree that the bounty hunter doesn't need those torps. Those 4 points would be better spent on engine upgrade to make him a huge blocker, but I would rather just leave him naked. It sucks that the Slave I title is so useless. I really question the playtesters when this game first came out for the awful ordinance. I do commend them for trying to subtly fix it (if that's even possible) though.

Slave 1 will be less useless now because it allows you to equip long range scanners (great even without any ordnance for setting up shots)

Slave 1 can also hold extra munitions, in case you want to use it for bombs + missiles in the future with chips

Currently, though? It does nothing but costs nothing too
