Makes sense seeing as how most SCs will be wrapping up and that fantastic moderator ruling of "no ships unless they have been out for a week or longer" thing. I haven't been this excited for something since I lost my virginity. And I am sure that the unboxing for wave 8 will take longer than my first time.

(1) FFG announced yesterday that the street date for Wave 8 is March 17. The guy you know is 24 hours behind the actual news.
(2) According to the tournament rules, everything is legal the moment it's released.

The March 17th date can now be sourced to FFG's Twitter, a post in the forum, and the revised version of the article. That's pretty solid triangulation.

Nope, he told me Wednesday, just figured I would post it following the article to see who is actually paying attention. Seems split down the middle.
So now I'm confused haha. Didn't realize they updated the article and removed the date. However on Twitter they are almost guaranteeing March 17th as the date which was the date originally in the article. Why would they remove the date and then on Twitter say unless there is some crazy catastrophe March 17 is the right date?

They didn't remove the date from the article. The update was adding the date. Prior to that it said next week. Now it says in the current version article the date of March 17th. I don't know why say Its not there now.

The article was written weeks ago to be approved by Lucasfilm and wasn't updated when it came back from Lucasfilm after being approved before posting. Then they updated it and it now says March 17th. This was all done in a matter of hours the day the article was put up and FFG posted it here in a thread about the article and on Twitter too.

I was led to believe the release date was around mid March, nether confirmed or denied that internet rumours apparently specifies the 17th of March. The problem with the rumoured due date is not the problem at all, the problem lies in peoples expected, impatient assumptions and attitude regarding the problem.
So by everyone just casually trolling along until midish March can only define the grey area as to when the wave 8 actually arrives, apparently its around March some time, anyone care to elaborate?
