I'm fairly new to the game. I've started playing a little at stores locally, and I've noted that TLT plays pretty heavy in the meta here. I'm first designing a TLT based list, and then I'm going to aim to design a TLT counter list. I don't have a ton of ships, but outside the really expensive ones, I'm willing to buy a ship or two to get cards to make this list solid. So here's my first cut:
Jan Ors
- Wired
- Twin Laser Turret
- Recon Specialist
- Either Shield Upgrade or Moldy Crow (haven't decided yet)
"Dutch" Vander
- Twin Laser Turret
- R7-T1
Biggs Darklighter
- Integrated Astromech
- R2-D2
So I want Biggs drawing the fire, and recharging with R2 as much as he can, but sacrificing R2 if a shot would kill him. Dutch is generating target locks for himself and Jan (or sometimes Biggs if the circumstance warrants it). R7-T1 helps keep Dutch out of range 1 while still handing out the Target Locks. In the case that Biggs can get a shot off, Jan can hand him an extra die. Recon Specialist + the target locks means Jan can nearly always hit. I'm leaning towards the shield upgrade for Jan, because with only 1 shield it quickly gets into crits, and I think with recon specialist and the main stress she's getting being in the combat phase, she can nearly always produce focus.
