Greedo...often I forgot that card. Quite weird in my opinion. I can't find the logic involved.
Final Wave VIII Article! Paul Heaver on Boba Fett
Rebels are really heavy on shields and regeneration, so it's very possible for them to never take crits. Also, some of their best ships only have 2 hull, so if shields go down they tend not to live long enough to take crits.
Have you ever had a game where no critical hits were dealt?
Yes a lot of them in fact. Also it's not as simple as simple as a face up card, it's a face up card on a ship that has an upgrade that's worth getting rid of.
Boba taking out the emperor geeesh... The card should say the Imperial player is allowed to slap the opponent if trying. I really dislike the ability to mess with another list like this. Paid 12 points for your jump master title? So long sucka. Could we get dog fighting skills back into the game?
Edited by DwingCan Boba discard a Title???

Sounds like a good time to outfly that one ship, eh? ![]()
Can Boba discard a Title???
Titles are upgrade cards, so yes. Though in a lot of cases you're better off discarding some other upgrade that breaks the title (HLC instead of outrider title on dash, cannon instead of title on a TIE/D, etc)

Could we get dog fighting skills back into the game?
In the game I play, they're still pretty important.

****!!! 2 days before my flgs Championships. I really wanna fly Boba crew and Gonk!

Also, IMO, that'd exactly what buffing ordnance does
You have the same hard time catching dodgers (part of the fun) minus the dice ******* you over as a reward for catching them (decidedly not fun); at least far less often
Your typical special K with just 3 dice plus focus whiffs like it's getting paid. Jumpy or redline with rerollable 4 dice torps plus emperor esque chip modifiers, though...

I hope you mean "playing without barrels and boosts at super high PS"

Combat Refit, Protocols, oh my god!!! If you remove Combat Refit from a GR 75, could it be destroyed? Bad news for Epic Ships. Boba will destroy your Protocols !!!
I like the idea of stripping any card from a ship. Although I would have preferred to see Boba's ability as a Critical Hit in the new damage deck too.
Hmm, but if you strip Chardaan Refit, can you kill 102 points?

No, because the cost is factored back in when you kill the ship. Much like ordnance.

nope, discarded cards are simply put facedown in tournament games.
The real question is what happens if boba targets a dual upgrade like adaptability. Assuming we're right about it being a double-sided card, and the fact that normally when you "discard" an upgrade in a tournament you just flip it over, how will that work?
Draw Their Fire and Prince Xizor are only a little bit more complicated. They actually redirect critical damage, but it's still pretty clear who would actually be dealt a damage card (if anyone), so Fett's effect is still very easy to resolve.
Just want to make sure we think it is easy to resolve in the same way.
My reading is that draw their fire will prevent Boba from being used at all if there was only a single uncancelled kaboom.
Might make DTF a little more attractive on ships that rely on upgrade card gimmicks.
Fun Fett Fact: Extra munitions tokens can be discarded instead of the upgrade card if Fett tries to remove your ordnance.
Greedo...often I forgot that card. Quite weird in my opinion. I can't find the logic involved.
The logic behind the design? Easy: Greedo is an aggressive personality who will go all out to get a bounty, but also overplays his hand. That shows in both the ease in which he helps the ship he's crewing score a critical hit, as well as the ease in which the ship he's crewing can receive one.
I typically run the Emperor on a Decimator with Ysanne Isard and Engine Upgrade. I appreciate that people are under the misconception that Emperor is correct upgrade to use Boba Fett crew on, because it costs more points. I'll try hard not to smile every time this happens.
Good times.

There was an error in the article. The expected street date is Thursday, March 17th. The article has been edited.
Any word on the street date outside the US? Are you aiming for March the 17th in Europe as well?

Dual upgrades have a rule card visible in the jump master expac image that'll probably explain the interaction
This. You have to have a specific ship deal a crit at the point where a ships shields are down but before the ship is essentially dead anyway and that ship has to have a card worth getting rid of.
Or you just use Adv. Homing Missile.
