Final Wave VIII Article! Paul Heaver on Boba Fett

Greedo...often I forgot that card. Quite weird in my opinion. I can't find the logic involved.

It's a "Han Shot First!" reference...

Nice to see Mr. Heaver's thoughts on designing the card. I wasn't to fond of this card when I saw it the first time, but after reading his insight, I understand why He wanted a card that could strip upgrades for scum, and it does work beautifully thematically...

Edit: WAVE VIII LESS THAN A WEEK AWAY GET HYPE

There was an error in the article. The expected street date is Thursday, March 17th. The article has been edited.

Any word on the street date outside the US? Are you aiming for March the 17th in Europe as well?

I'm optimistic, Polish distributor's website states wave VIII will be available "March 2016 (simultaneously with the worldwide release)".

Fun Fett Fact: Extra munitions tokens can be discarded instead of the upgrade card if Fett tries to remove your ordnance.

Equally fun fact: the same applies to Extra Munitions itself, so Boba isn't touching any of your ordnance-related cards.

French distributor Edge lists wave 8 release date as 7th of March. I guess we'll know in 10 days.

Can your opponent hide the text of the crit until you decide to use Boba or not?

Can your opponent hide the text of the crit until you decide to use Boba or not?

No. Boba Fett is triggered by dealing a face-up, which means the card is public information.

Anyone else excited to knock out an Outsider's HLC or Punishing One simultaneously with a weapons failure crit, just for the hilarity?

Fun Fett Fact: Extra munitions tokens can be discarded instead of the upgrade card if Fett tries to remove your ordnance.

If player A uses Fett on B, then A is instructed to discard one of B's cards, while Extra Munitions states as a condition that B is the one who has to discard a card. Put simply, the two instances of 'you' of the two cards appear to different.

How does that stack with major and minor explosion?

Boba is one-use, so it doesn't.
