Rules questions

By theundead, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

1. If a hero is knocked out, and his hero token is placed in his space, is that token considered a hero for purposes like oath of honor and inspiration?

2. If a hero is knocked out at the end of an encounter, and chooses to perform a stand up action, does the hero also recover all stamina?

Thanks!

1) No, that hero token is only considered a valid target of any ability that would cause that hero to heal. This includes revive action, but also 'Prayer of Healing'.

2) I think they can. The rulebook lists steps the players must perform, but doesn't specify the exact specific order in contrary to the campaign phase. I haven't thought about it before but I see no reason why they couldn't.

The hero does not recover all stamina when he performs a stand-up action. He only recovers stamina according to the surges on the dice he rolled.

He regains health = number of hearts and fatigue = number of surges.

If they wait till the next encounter starts, the rules are slightly different, but I don't have the book with me, so I'lllet others expand on that.

If a hero finishes an encounter ko then he will benefit from a free stand up action. Then to my opinion all stamina is recovered cause he is inbetween two encounters.

He does recover all fatigue in this case. It was in the unofficial FFG FAQ thread somewhere
