Mustache Wars

By Alekzanter, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

The Toydarian majordomo in BtR has an extravagant mustache, and Lando's mustache is described as being elegant in JoY, so who's got what type of mustache in MotPQ?

This is the kind of quality content I check the forum daily for.

But can you ever really get away with describing a mustache as just "a mustache," though? It's a failure of character as a writer to not give some descriptor to a mustache, really.

Spoken like a true facebroom brother.

A very Mustacio mustache?

As a side note (in my dim and distant past) I remember an NPC known as 'Flight Lieutenant Handlebar Moustache'.. it could have been either a WWI or WWII air aces parody or the nickname of an NPC in a 'serious' setting.... maybe Twilight 2000... dunno,,, but the forum title made me smile

Han Solo would have had a Scoundrel's Mustache ;)

On a side note: one of the players in our group is always seems to forget terms for the symbols on the dice, and he refers to Advantages ans "Mustaches." It has spread so badly that I caught myself doing it in the last session.

I win. I have both. Two days ago I would have described mine as "luxuriant." This morning I looked in the mirror and would have called it "Grizzly Adams-like." After 30 minutes with clippers and razor I guess it's more "respectable."

I win as well since I also have both. Mine is long, but trimmed.

I guess I win too, being of long hair and beard! I trim it every day and I'm still hanging around with Gentle Ben.

As someone who can't actually have one, I'm feeling moustache envy :(

Maybe I work with a bunch of hipsters, but the thick, full beard is popular with the young guys at the moment.

As someone who likes guys to look like guys, I approve.

What do you call a clean shaven man?

A boy.

Wish I could 'like' that more than once!

 I could send you a link to a picture of me with my beard. It's a couple of years old before my hair grew out.

Each to their own, to me even a well trimmed beard/'tache looks awful and untidy,,, TBH us guys don't have to shave our armpits, legs or bikini line (unless you're a drag queen!) and having a smooth face for my wife shows '...making a little effort...' her words, not mine. In the UK at the moment facial hair is all the rage.. but nope,,, I'll keep people in the razor business in a job thank you very much as there's been a £5million drop in the economy due to the lack of sales of foam and aftershave products..

besides,,, I don't give a f*** about what's fashionable anyway!

Maybe coz my dad has full facial hair could be a generational thing? - Freud, over to you

No but you have to trim that bramble once in a while, buddy!

A man can be hairy and groomed, but I won't discount your preference for being clean-shaven.
