So I try to think out side of the USA only box and its Friday for most people in the world so Join the revolution friend and wish a happy Friday to all.
I had a work goal i wont reach this week. So much frustration. Hopefully a weekend of pathfinder, numenera, followed by xwing monday night will help. Ill try Jake and Tycho proxying rage with a tlt stress horton.

Man, I am tired today. Late night of X-wing. I kicked off the "Heroes of the Aturi Cluster" list night. I wasn't sure how many people would want to play, but we had about 15 that wanted to play at various times, but only got around 13 or so of them in due to the number of players. It was a huge hit. We should've broken into smaller groups, but not everyone had read the rules or printed out all the crap. I printed everything and had extras, but not that many extras. We even ran out of X-wing player cards that people could make characters with. Man, it was a blast and everyone had a good time.
My group of players had a number of new guys or casual players who didn't have all the ships, cards, etc. So, it was great to be able to bust out pretty much everything that anyone needed. Need a slew of Tie Fighters? No problem! I think the only thing I don't have is Rebel Transport and it's needed in one mission (I think). There are others who have it, though.
Created a Y-wing pilot w/ 2 x Proton Torpedoes and Guidance Chip (yeah, it's not out yet, but I don't care) and used callsign "Warhead". We did the first mission and it was good. People were wondering how the AI was going to be for the Imperials, but it was rather impressive. I got nailed in the first volley and down to hull. Also, both my Torps rolled HORRIBLE each time. I did manage to fire R3 through an asteroid with main guns and take the last hit off a Tie Fighter.
Got enough XP in the first mission (especially from Squad Leader support bonus) to buy TLT and Targeting Astromech. The second mission had 6 players and it was rough. We did the Minefield one. Assault Missile took out one of our pilots, but he was recovered. It hit a certain point where we ignored the enemy ships and started blasting mines like crazy. I managed to take out 2 minefields at R1 with my main guns, which was amazing. I racked up a huge amount of XP this match. I upgraded to PS 3, but saved the rest of my points to buy Predator. Oh, my Torpedoes did better this game. **** Tie Bomber kept rolling 2 evade, though!
We had time for a third game, even with just 4 players. We picked the one to capture the Imperial Shuttle. One X-wing mis-judged and landed on an asteroid at R1 of the Lambda and another Tie Fighter. He died that round! My Torpedoes did great vs. the Lambda and I mostly took it's shields down in 2 rounds (oh, it had bonus shields up to 9). I got dinged a bit and then an Assault Missile hit me. I was down to 2 hull for a while. I was stressed and in their firing arcs. Reinforcements came and I couldn't get out of their arcs. Another pilot gave me Evades to save my bacon. We were getting close to more reinforcements coming and managed a crazy round where we each finished off a wounded Tie Fighter with good luck. It was then easy to TLT the 2 hull off the Shuttle and capture it. Our pilot was recovered with losing his best upgrade. The rest of us got amazing XP. I managed to buy Predator and still have enough points to get to PS 4. I am saving it, though, as there isn't much point in going to PS 4 until I have the points for Extra Munitions. I'll just bump up the enemy ships for no benefit.
Once I get Extra Munitions (a modification), I'll have 4 Proton Torpedoes with Guidance Chip (yes, multiple modifications), Predator, and TLT's! With the number of low PS ships, I'll be getting 2 re-rolls on Torpedoes, using Guidance Chip, and getting one eyeball to crit. I'm gunning for buying the Nera D. ability to shoot 360! Predator on TLT low PS ships is also good.
OK....I don't know if anyone ever reads all my reports from game night, but I have fun writing them.
