Coming out of hyperspace (Most Wanted Edition)

By tgall, in Star Wars: Armada

So the mission is selected (Most Wanted), it's time to place ships and squadrons and come out of hyper space....

You've got your "dream" fleet .. or well A fleet, how are you placing your ships to start off the engagement? How are you adjusting your placement based on the fleet you're looking at across from you?

I'll go first....

I tend to play Empire, either a squadrons light (ISD, 3 Glads and minimal squadrons) or squadrons heavy (2 ISDs with lots of friends, or 3 Glads, a Raider and lots of friends)

In either case, my objective ship is going to be close to and reasonably grouped up with most of my ships and squadrons, with the thought I want you to come to me and make you have the engage the whole ball of wax.

If I have plenty of activations, I might kick out a ship so it can run for a flank and look to plug a hole to prevent the enemy target ship from making a run for it or watch to preventing kiting. Overall I want to keep my opponent in noose. I want him constrained.

Placing obstacles for this one I'm thinking I want things mostly out of the way or oriented in such a way to make the other guy fly through in a turn 1/2

Next time we play, we can discuss this.

Thanks Modise ... I was trying to generate some discussion which wasn't "wave 3, end of Armada, or ...."

Looking forward to our next game.
