I know there's a lot of a wing enthusiasts on this forum and I'm looking to draw from your knowledge and expertise. If I am running a pure a wing squadron, will it ever be worth it to field 5x green squadron pilots with crackshot and AT or will 4x PTL a wings always do the job better?

I'm contemplating purchasing a 5th a wing for this purpose but I need some sort of justification that I will actually use said ship

With crackshot you have a chance to actually do something significant with those 2red pewpews

With 4xPtL you turtle up and then gl hitting you.

Killing power vs survability.

(Myself: i woudl try 5 with cshot) 3 dice with evade is still hard to shoot.

Yeah. Something like this looks solid. You could even put juke on tycho, or swap to jake with 3 jukes, which is my current green squadron build. (arguably adds to survivability, forcing your opponent to forfeit offensive modifications)
