Dice Roller updated with correct die symbols

By Sunatet, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Courtesy of FFG and Jay Little in person Dice Roller has now correct symbols on every face of every die.

To not spoil too much, the dice edit option is now unavailable (You need to figure them out by yourself, and trust me, that the faces are correct gui%C3%B1o.gif ).

Enjoy! gran_risa.gif

Neat. Would be really cool if there was some translation at the same time.

Excellent tool!

I would offer a suggestion, though. Characteristic and the two stance dice can probably be reasonably limited to a max of 10 per roll.

What kind of translation do You have in mind?

They can, but what's the purpose of limiting something that people can limit themselves?
And in case if someone needed that 11-th dice someday, its better to leave it as it is gui%C3%B1o.gif .

Translations: successes, challenge, boon, bane, etc.

Done happy.gif .

What about the ability to snapshot and email the results? I can see your tool being a great addition for PBEM or online games. I know some dice rollers have a database to store rolls and provide links to those results. That's a lot of storage that needs to be done doing it that way, but as an alternative, allow a user to email the results out to various recipients, as a small image or something.

Right now, it is only simple script based on html and javascript only, without any database, or some higher functions (like email sending) access.

It was designed for my personal use as a offline tool, that was planned to work without any serwer access, just by opening it with a simple browser.

Until I change that (and IF I change that) You need to live with the tool as it is.

I can add some basic, and simple functions (something that simple browser can hangle) right now, but what You ask Dvang is just too much. Sorry.

Hey, no sweat Sunatet. happy.gif It had just occurred to me that something like that would be a useful feature, because the roller would be extremely useful for PbP/Online/PBEM games. I knew the database was a bit much, as I admitted, which is why I suggested an email link. Instead of images, to be simpler, it could send NezNotation® (haha) results, for example. Anyway, I'm not trying to push it on you. I don't have a personal need for this functionality myself. It's just food for thought when the demand for your tool grows enough that you expand it! aplauso.gif

Well, there's always the Print Screen button on most standard keyboards. Just snapshot it and save the image in paint and mail it away.

Thanks Sunatet for your Dice roller, can come in handy if some of my players don`t have dice.

But I am sure everyone in my group are going to purchase a set of dice for themselves...eventually. But until then its good to have a dice roller. Can this program be downloaded into a cellphone for easier use around the table? or are we by this moving into the murky waters of copyright?

again Sunatet, you`re swell!

If You ask about if it can be downloadable as a Java application, then the answer is unfortunately no, I don't plan Java version.

But if You are in possession of one of the modern Cellphones (the ones that allow You to make pictures, films, browse the internet, wash the dishes and make your loundry - don't ask me, I'm still using the old nokia that is about 4 years old, or even more lengua.gif ) You should be able to open this as any other internet site, and it probably will work.

thanks for your reply.

No my cellphone don`t do any of those things, except triggering the alarm at impromptu times, and have a habit of turning itself off when conversations turns boring (about 5 min) lengua.gif . But I have a few gadgeteers in my group, that will definitefly use your program for the first few sessions on their what-not-gadgets.

Just some heads up, not sure if this is intentional but any additional dice added by a Righteous Success actually hang around for any future roles, of the same set.

Otherwise it looks ok.

Realy not sure why FFG want to keep the knowledge of the dice faces to themselves at this point, since I wouldnt think they are likely to change. Would give the probability nuts something to play with too. sorpresa.gif

Thanks Sunatet, now many people that won't get a chance to be at Emperors Decree can roll some dice. Now only if A Day Late,a Shilling Short demo adventure would be avaliable for download - they could play it and try WFRP3 for free at thier homes.

Oh, Comets and Chaos symbols don't cancel out as far as I know.

You mean that the additional dice generated are not removed?
Yes I see the problem, I try to do something with it. Right now, You can manually remove any dice by double-clickin on them.

You are right. Changing then lengua.gif

FIXED

Now every time You hit ROLL, any dice with Righteous Success symbol is removed from the pool. You can still roll them individually without removing any dice from the pool. Dice removing is assigned only to ROLL button.

Sigmar's Comet and Chaos Star symbols do not cancel each other out anymore.
