Is it bad that...?

By DariusAPB, in X-Wing

So I am considering getting another X-wing, to repaint as my own ship for Aturi, and rather than mess with the clamshells I am considering getting yet another core set?

Just, extra decks, more dice and templates makes it worth it to me, plus more ties for the eternal swarm.

Depends on how much you can get it for.

It's unlikely that you need anything from the X-Wing expansion... Unless you need more proton torpedos. But a extra deck especially the old one and more dice isn't worth much to me anyway.

Haha! I was thinking of making a custom ship designator for my X-wing. I can skip the numbers and go with a 40k decal on it, instead. I was thinking of looking at decals to help pick a callsign.

Yes. Only for a good price though.

You also get a backup for that little fingernail-sized asteroid. It's just a matter of time before it gets lost.

The question is do you already have 12 TIEs, or if you do, do you care about artificial ship limits in epic?

What will the core set net you, other than an X-Wing to paint?

Another set of templates and a range ruler.

A (probably not useful) damage deck.

2 unique astromechs you already own

Not the most useful EPT.

More asteroids for scenario play, or to go to a tournament with only the smallest (or largest) available.

Two more TIEs for the swarm, probably scenario or double Epic?

More comsats and other mission tokens.

Dice.

Torpedoes

Compared to:

X-Wing to paint

More torpedoes

I'd take the core set.

Some guys on e-bay are selling single ships with no upgrade cards, small ships are going for 8-9 bucks.

Yes but some are BLUE!

If I have to field a 12 TIE swarm they all have to be colour co-ordinated!
