I am new to the game and have never played skirmish. I love theme over efficiency, so I am not looking for anything competitive. I would like to build an all droid skirmish force. Playing around with things, I figured it would be something like:

IG-88*

2 x HKs (r or e)

Ally R2-D2

Ally C-3P0

???

I am not sure what to put in the command deck.

Any thoughts or advice?

*I know IG-88 isn't the most effective unit. Theme over efficiency (which is very undroidlike, I know).

For theme, I'd play lots of imperial Probe Droids and ally IG-88 and HKs.

This is what I want to play as well, but not being able to mix R2 and 3PO with probe droids leaves it lacking in activations. You really can't squeeze IG and 3 sets of HKs, well you can but it leaves you woefully short of activations and support (with only R2 or 3PO, or MHD).

Hopefully 4 LOM will be released soon as he may help flesh out the list (assuming a reasonably points cost).

I feel your pain about theme lists. I will never be good at IA because theme is always better for me than efficiency.
