The Three trials pure solo : done!

By Lecitadin, in Strategy and deck-building

Here's a tailor made deck for this quest, that is quite difficult in solo. (It's inspired from an another older deck that isn't mine.)

One of the few quests in LOTR LCG that I lost because of a location lock...

General strategy :

-put Steward on Eowyn.

-use Path of Need on the active location while on stage 3B, until the 3 main guardians are destroyed, than go to the Hallowed circle location.

-Staff of Lebethron is amazing on Beregond, because the guardians have a threat of 50.

-because the encounter deck is quite slim, I actually managed to draw 2 copies of Rangers of the North in the encounter deck.-the daggers go on Halbarad.

-With Eowyn and Elven light and Halbarad, you can quest for 7 almost each turn (you almost always have a guardian engaged with you).

Total Cards: 50
Heroes (starting threat: 29)
Beregond ( Heirs of Númenor )
Halbarad ( The Lost Realm )
Éowyn ( Core Set )
Allies (11)

I didn't think it was that hard.

I remember it being insane for solo when it came out. Nice job!

I didn't think it was that hard.

I think that if you played it with a deck that was already balanced fir the quest, it's not that hard. But with a generic deck, it can be nasty.

There's also what combos you get between the Barrow locations, guardians and keys you get and at what time you get them.

Unseen Strike was pretty good for me against this quest, for much the same reason as Staff of Lebethron.

This looks like a fun deck to play in general. I might toss a Spear of the Citadel and Gondorian Discipline in there.
