So when ARE we allowed to talk about these ships taking forever on the boat?
For those keeping track, the "usually 4 to 6 weeks" boat ride hit week 10 on Wednesday, after initially being (recklessly) speculated for Q4 2015. People are fine to say that there is a "delayed wave" thread every time and fair enough, since it really isn't earth shattering news. But at what point does "every wave is delayed" become "FFG is TERRIBLE at predicting these things and should simply stop spreading misinformation"? I don't mind the delays, but I mind being told one thing and having it be wrong over and over. If you can't keep the time frames you offer, then don't offer time frames.

So... yes this is longest wait of recent waves. It is not massively beyond precedent. It may seem extra long coming on the heels of a historically fast wave.
I never understood the pre-order mentality that if it takes too long I should cancel my order... If the order had made it on time, I still wouldn't have had that money. Besides, happiness is having new plastic ship arrive on my doorstep when I wasn't expecting them. Just forget about wave 8 until it shows up. No need to stress over it.

I don't want to be surprised. I just want my stuff. If it had shipped on time I would have my stuff and not the money. Since it didn't I cancelled and now I have my money, still don't have my stuff, but now I can buy other stuff while I wait.
With the pre-order as it is, I don't have my stuff, I don't have my money, I don't have jack!
So there it is.
Man dude, its been like a couple months and you complain. Try playing 40k were you are waiting 4 years and still waiting for your army to get a codex update. Just be patient, if they release everything way too quickly this would be a rich man's game, learn to appreciate what you have. And go from there. Fly a list that no one flies, there is so much to do in this game, but everyone just wants the next big bad thing to win some plastic or paper. I understand the competitive side, but this is also suppose to be a friendly game. Plus I just came here because of Star Wars.

It's not your stuff. If the store went bankrupt while you were waiting for your order, you would have nothing and no right to anything.
It's not your stuff.
First. World. Problems.
But I preordered back in October. This is getting a little out of hand.
The first rule of preorders...DON'T preorder!

Lesson learned then... don't ever pre-order.

This is another good reason to follow the first rule of preorders...DON'T preorder!

I see what you're saying, but I think that's semantics. I say my stuff = stuff I have paid for. As far as nothing and no right to anything, if you pre-pay, you such as hell have a right to your things or a refund (although your claim would come last, so you might not *get* anything, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't)
Oh brother.
March 31st is the release date.....I thought everyone was aware of that about three weeks ago.
If is off the boat and the will be holding it another 2 weeks then ship. About March 18-23 you'll see shipping. The announcement was delivered a few weeks ago. It comes out the same day as Rebeliion which Marrch 31st. For you got a little over 4 weeks until you get it
When did that date get updated? According to their preview article it said "arriving at retailers in 4th quarter 2015". Now it's coming close to the end of 1st quarter 2016.March is still Q1. Not "late" until April.
Even then, the Merchant Ship Gandalf is always on time delivering our space ships.
Id say it is appropriate to be legitimately complaining that we cant spend our money on ships that should be available at retailers!
Is it legit to complain if we already spent the money 4 months ago?
At my FLGS, if you don't preorder new ships you are likely not going to get them on the first order. So I feel like I have to order before it's actually supposed to hit the shelves.
I'm just glad I opted to give Tie/FO boosters to my gaming buddies as Christmas presents instead of Wave 8 ships...

I want my stuff because the bounty hunters have always been the coolest parts of the original trilogy and EU to me, other than Darth Vader. (Rogue Squadron comes close though). And I'm a fan of the Rebels cartoon series. I really can't wait to fly these specific ships and pilots. I haven't built any builds with the ships or upgrades, so I'm not sure how "meta" they'll be...I just want Dengar, Zuckuss, 4-Lom, and Hera, man! ![]()

If its a Flgs, they shouldn't charge you for something before it arrives! I would only call it an LGS!

Really next time ffg should just say "announcing wave 8 coming sometime next year" anytime the announcement is after June since that's pretty much what ends up happening anyways.
About this topic, it is quite similar to Blockbusters... COMING SUMMER 2017. And you think...18 months in the future???
Here we see what will be in the new blisters ( or at least the better Cards ) and when 4, 6, 8 months later they are released it is like a minor bluff. Wave 8 in the shelves, look the new wave 9 !!! It will be available perhaps in 8 months, perhaps not. But it is cool !!!
Perhaps I am too old or battle damaged. Some year we will provide you a T 65 fix !!!
No worry, we fixed it after some plays. Give me more ships on a regular way. Every 6 months, or once a year, or what is better for your strategy. This perhaps Q4 2015, or Q1 2016 is quite a lotto. My opinion.
Chaos Cards in the UK has said the following. It's all very much rumour, but possibly a sign of things starting to move. ![]()
We appreciate that everyone's waiting very patiently for their Wave 8 ships, so we're sharing every tiny little scrap of news we get! We have heard a rumour - and we must stress, this is unconfirmed and unofficial - that Wave 8 will be touching down soon, and that we can expect it to arrive with us -hopefully, fingers crossed - by Mid-March. That's about 2 - 3 weeks away!!! So we could be in the final stretch! We have also heard -again unofficially - that there will be an official release date this time, which means everyone should be releasing their stock to customers at the same time. This would eliminate the mad rush to be the first to release stock and make the playing field for all stockists a little more even, which is great news for us, and will mean that your choice of retailer to preorder with won't be a gamble on who gets their stock first, which means a more reliable service for you! So we're crossing our fingers that everything we've heard turns out to be true!
If Wave 8 will be available in Spain in March, so I think in will be available elsewhere the same week. Wave 8 is very, very near, week 3 or 4. After so much waiting, don't panic..
Then we will start waiting for Veterans info...and back again.
I just wish they'd stop spoiling the entire contents of every single wave months before we actually open the boxes. It means there's no mystery, and therefore much less excitement when you get your hands on them.
It also means the internet has already analysed, evaluated and discarded pretty much everything to determine what will be "Good" and what is "Bad" from each expansion, thus meaning unless you want to avoid forums altogether, there's no joy to be had in creatively combining various upgrades yourself, playtesting them, and discussing with people in your local store how to get the best out of something.
Am I the only one who wishes they would deliberately avoid releasing details on, say, one pilot and one upgrade for each ship so no-one actually knows what they're going to be before people start opening the plastic on release day?
That is what they do, don't they - with each pack has an aspect or two left unspoiled (be it a card, dial, pilot or whatever)?
Am I the only one who wishes they would deliberately avoid releasing details on, say, one pilot and one upgrade for each ship so no-one actually knows what they're going to be before people start opening the plastic on release day?
They... do virtually exactly that already.
Ghost: Thermal Detonators, generic VCX pilot.
Inquisitor's TIE: second generic pilot.
Punishing One: Overc... Agr...
Mist Hunter: both generic pilots.

Well, if Wave 9 is "done" as per the podcast quote, then maybe that one will have a faster turnaround time. Autumn release?
