Hyperspace and gravity wells (mild E7 spoilers)

By Ahrimon, in Game Masters

By the way i'm happily ignoring the fact that Han seemed to manually dropped the Falcon out of hyperspace by pulling on a lever. I pretend thats him getting the sub-light engines up to full thrust in preparation for where they are about to be.

I don't see why thats a big thing. Perhaps he's the kind of guy who would disable almost everything on this navicomputer and would opt for a manual stop. Seems kind of funny though now I think about it.

All the answers indicate this game is a 'yes but NO' lol, 'I would allow it but ALL DICE ARE REDHAHAHHAHAH' jesus.

For me, it is something that COULD be done. But I would warn them that it would probably destroy the ship in the process, and they MIGHT be injured or killed in the attempt

If they still think it is worth the loss of the ship, and possible injury/death. Then let them. Flip a couple of Destiny points so they survive, and move on.

Ehhh, I think the key thing suggested is that this a non-standard technique for a reason as either the slightest miscalculation could have really dire results, especially if your intended destination is within the atmosphere of a planet is like hitting a really small ring around a penny without touching it. It might be cool to do that or give reference to that, since every few years a story of a smuggler doing just that, just it's the kind of thing I imagine a lot of people simply won't do if they can absolutely afford it. In the case of the movie, landing on Starkiller and preventing the firing of a super weapon prompted the urgency.

I don't think it's that necessary to kill the PC's, since it ends the story threads. However serious damage to their ship, loss of personal artefacts and critical injuries to each aboard might make a nice prompt while keeping things going.
