So... I'm looking from an imperial point of view but this may have relevance to other factions...

If your list already has 2 well built, powerful aces then is it more valuable to fill the list out with...

A/ a cheap, perhaps sub optimal ace

Or

B/ 2 naked, cheap ps1/2s

I have a similar problem, I want to run Whisper and Omega Leader, and I have to choose between a semi/ace, or two rookies.

Depends on your play style. If you excel at blocking, get in some cheap blockers. If you're more of a hit and run guy, fit in a third ship that can do so along with your beefy aces.

Often more ships is better than less.

A 39pt Whisper and 26pt Omega Leader leaves 35pts for Vader or Soontir, who are not "semi/ace".

I'd go for Vader, so there's no PS conflict with Whisper.

If you have 2 aces and points remaining, choose something that's a high priority target (as opposed to 12 point durps) that way your opponent will be put in the tough spot of choosing, and may waste shots on the other high priority target rather than the aces, who can presumably clean up in the end game. Zeta Leader with Predator, Biggs or Stresshog, TLT Palob or Mux, things like that.

I also cannot wait for the TAP to finally hit the stores. Aces and ace killers for under 30 points!!!

I'm going to run 2 ps1s this week and order a tiefoo for next week and try omega or zeta

I've also "filled" a few lists with FOs. Those things are tough! Great dial, that added shield makes a difference, and those 2 S-loops are KILLER!

I put Gunner on Whisper, and Advanced sensors (incase she bumps) but I might put FCS instead of gunner. anyway, my current whisper is 45

Im always hesitant to use Palp, im not bad with him, but I also don't own his card, and it's just not my playstyle.
