Are you going to the Demo?

By lotsapoppa, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Lots of folks have been saying good things and bad things about this game.

Out of the masses who have already drawn a line in the sand, how many are actually going to go try the demo?

My local store has the demo, I actually spent a good part of my afternoon reading rules since I will be one of three GMs running demos this Sunday. So far I really want to see this game in action before judging it.

I too have the game for the Demo day and am really enjoying the rules. Putting it in front of players will be the real test.

No demos, at least that I know of, are anywhere near my post in Germany.

Though Im sure a military demo edition of any game would be appreciated (hey, Troll Lord Games did it with Castles and Crusades. Honestly for like a year any military member got like 25% percent off their books, 50% if you were deployed when you ordered them!)

I would be glad to try and run it for you across a virtual table. Maybe with a voice chat program or something. There are no tables (I know of) that support the iconic dice, but we could improvise (I have some ideas). If you want to try, get with me after the demo and I'll take some pics for you and try and work something out.

It will be an awkward task, but being a vet, I don't want to see our soldiers suffer :)

Would love to try it in London, but Esdevium Games have nothing on it, even though i believe they should be handling it for FFG. If I am wrong and particularly if there is a preview in London, please let me know.

I'm not going because none of the local stores are into the event because Gatineau, Quebec is a dump.

I mean, FFG packages tend to get eaten by wolverines on their way up here anyway, so why should I get my hopes up.

I hate this.

Good Lord!

Buy a gun....

I'm running it at our local game store (VALHALLA's GAMES: Wheatridge, CO_). Got to go check out the package this week.

I am planning on stopping by Guardian Games here in Portland to at least sneak a peak at the n.i.a. (nerds in action) through the hedges...provided my wife doesn't go into labor anyway : )

You're welcome to stop by Callidon! I'll be running twice, once at noon and once at 5pm. I believe both sessions are full (well, from sign-ups anyway). The adventure shouldn't take too long, so I should have plenty of time between games to do some additional demo mini-combats/encounters and discuss the rules.

The game will be demoed at the RGC 4th Quarter Games Day in Rochester, MN on November 14th from 12 PM to 10 PM.

<shameless plug>

I'm definitely going to a demo. Can't wait, hope I like it!

Dvang, I'll be one of your players. I'm coming up to Guardian Games from Eugene with some friends Saturday morning for the 12:00 session. I'm looking forward to the event. I hope to see you there too, Callidon.

Seems like there are quite a few Oregonians on the forums. That's cool.
