So, I just took my first commission for some painted ships... namely, a set of the Rogues and Villains!

Got them, painted them up (they looked pretty sweet) and mailed them off.

Turns out, they never got there. And stupid me, I seem to have thrown away the receipt with the tracking number on it.

So, so, SO very pissed right now:( I am thinking I'll use a B&N gift card (I got a few as gifts) to replace the ships and paint them up, but this f'ing sucks, because now I am literally taking a LOSS on the deal, both in terms of money and also in terms of the time it takes to paint them twice, which isn't free when you have a 4 year old and a 1 year old

Anyway... just needed to vent. So angry. Anyone have any advice?

Go to your post office, if you have the delivery address they should be able to find what happened.

Have the tracking also emailed to you. Or take a photo with your phone

Always send things like this with tracking and delivery confirmation. They may not have got there. Your customer might not be honest.

Are you sure they just didn't get there "yet?" Sometimes the post office is slower than we'd like.

It was supposed to arrive Friday... so no Friday, Saturday, or Monday... and now it is Tuesday:(

Sucks. I have bad experiences with our local post office as well. Here, as the receiver you are not even able to file any complaints or request an investigation with the post office. Only the sender is able to do that, who isn't always willing. In one instance, my internet provider send me 3! modems that were not delivered in a row. I was without internet for nearly a month due to this. Eventually I requested the provider to send it to my parents house in a different municipality instead. I envision the courier has started his own hardware store since then...
