So as the title suggests, if I mount PTL on IG88C I could focus, PTL and Boost. Then get a free evade, is that correct?

Just be aware that PTL on Aggressors is a subtle trap (especially with AdvS). It will go like this:

(1) Action, PTL, Stress. Green move, shed stress. Awesome!

(2) Action, PTL, Stress. Green move, shed stress. Awesome!

(3) Action. Hmmm. I want to do a S-Loop or K-Turn, so no PTL. That's okay, I got my action. Red move, Stress.

(4) Green move, shed stress. Action. Hmmm. If I PTL, I can't do a S-Loop or K-Turn next turn. I'm not positive I want to, but I might, because there are ships moving after me this turn. Better not.

And so on. It's even worse when there are active Stressers over which you have no or limited control.

In general, PTL is surprisingly bad on Aggressors, given how many really good green moves they have. The reason is that they are arced ships at middling PS, and they really need to S-Loop and K-Turn often. PTL completely hoses that.

Predator or Wired should be your go-tos.

I disagree. I find s-loops are the trap. They end up leaving you too close, only 1 action (if you have adv sens, else none), and way too easy to out-fly. At ps6 with secondary weapons, you want distance. There's no such thing as slowly advancing on your target with an aggressor. Rather then letting your opponent focus fire on you again, better to take 2 rounds to turn around in a huge arc while your bro sets up his firing run.

This. The S-Loop might be my favorite maneuver in the game. Even more so with IG-88D thrown into the mix.

Although I have been collecting for this game from the beginning, up until recently I have only managed to play a few games due to lack of opponents. A few weeks ago I started playing regularly against a guy that lives 30mins drive away and he's played a fair bit and has been patient with me aa he's been bringing me up to gaming speed, but at the same time he has been pretty ruthless in his play and it's been a steep learning curve for me. I've been looking at and trying some of the Soontir builds but I was hammered by him every time, and soon realized that those glass cannon builds are not my play style. So I played B & D last game and slayed him, I only took two shield hits for the game. I even wasted build points with VI, not thinking that I'd probably have lower PS with it anyway..

This week I'm thinking B & C each with PTL, FCS, Mangler C, Ion C, IG-2000 & Autothrusters.
