Age of Sigmar stuffed it all up.

By TezzasGames, in Warhammer: Diskwars

This isn't a critical swipe at GW or FFG.

It appears to be that the WH Fantasy Battles 'End Times' story-line has also brought an end to Diskwars. In other words, Age of Sigmar has stuffed it all up.

I don't see how GW would permit Diskwars to continue, in its current form, given that the fluff behind the game is no longer supported.

What kind of licensing agreement does FFG have with GW for AoS? Any at all?

I can't even light a candle of hope for the game, anymore.

FFG, if the game is dead, can you please officially put us out of our misery with a brief announcement?

There's never been any official statement by GW or anyone else that the release of AoS would put an end to anything related to the "old" Warhammer brand, and I suspect there will never be.

Quite the contrary, licensed games set in the Warhammer World continue to be produced. Since AoS was released last summer we had Warhammer: Vermintide, Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game and the upcoming Total War: Warhammer so, while there are a lot of valid arguments for the lack of support for Warhammer: Diskwars, the "AoS has stuffed it all up" argument is not one of them, imho.

And don't forget Mordheim: City of the Damned
