What do people want for X-Wing Media-wise?

By Sir Orrin, in X-Wing

Bar-reps? reviews? list builds? What do you like to see most on video/livestream/Podcast?

Awhile back, I started a second Youtube Channel, for X-wing stuff. Ive made one video, a build video, but I haven't done anything since.

There are plenty of Reviews, Batreps and so forth, so what would you guys recommend doing for X-wing stuff? I was thinking about making videos going in-depth on the certain ships. Not a review of the product, but an analysis of the ship, what It does, and how it stands in the Meta. I just don't want to put effort into this stuff If people don't really care for it.

World Series of X wing

I read a few battle-reports that a guy had done up as comics. So the story of the comic followed how the game played out, which I thought was totally rad. I'd like to see more of those.

thats a good one, thanks!

If you're going to do in-depth ship analysis I would recommend adding a segment on where the ship comes from in the lore (legends or canon and which books/comics/game it is from) and who the pilots are. I have not seen anyone do that before. The research should be pretty easy with wookieepedia

I was thinking, Lore, Pilots, Stats, and maybe Meta.

Flight tutorials using vassal or similar.

How to fly in formation

How to prepare openings

When and why to K-turn

How to fly [whatever] ship

Etc.

Just watched the sooner swarm video. Have to say that's pretty sneak. Great stuff. Keep it up!!!

I would be interested in any and all of the ideas already presented. Once I found a video on YouTube that was mostly just a video of gameplay that had lasers and sounds added in along with explosions when a ship was destroyed. Of course it played SW soundtrack in the background. It was awesome and even my (at that time)4 yr old loved it. It wasn't overly "teachy" but very entertaining. So anyway get some content on your channel already.

I would like to see some good learning material on how to play well. Such as asteroid placement, opening moves, the best maneuvers to use based in enemy ship placement and heading, etc. There's so much list building stuff out there and not enough about good in-game strategy.
