Vassal X-Wing Copilot

By jeslinger, in X-Wing

Hello everyone!

I've been following the X-Wing community for a while. It's a great community and so I wanted to contribute in my own way. My brother and cousin, whom I play games with, both live on the other side of the US. We're all getting into the competitive X-Wing scene and wanted a way for us to try new builds with each other. So we tried Mu0n's Vassal module and have been having a blast ever since.

Our only problem with Vassal was all the hotkeys and having to remember all of them. To help combat this, I wrote a simple app for Windows that works with Vassal to deliver the shortcuts.

You can download it from Google Drive here:

1. Just unzip the application somewhere convenient on your desktop.

2. Launch the X-Wing Miniatures module in Vassal.

3. click 'Set Window' in the copilot app.

4. Open the map in vassal and wait for the label in the top left of the copilot app to turn green.

5. Now you can click on a ship and press any button in the app to change its stats or position.

Hope some will find this as useful as we did. Feedback is welcome. :)

Enjoy and happy flying!
