CA has not had a dock worker strike in a very long time. Management has prevented dock workers from working, however. A lockout is when owners try to get workers to starve slowly by trying to get them to starve quickly. Management wins the fight when people yell at laborers to "get back to work"- which they can only do by accepting pay/conditions that are not great. Part of the way management can win is by outsiders confusing a "lockout" with a "strike". If one side is using confusion and obfuscation as a tactic, I'm going to be leaning to the other side, personally.

It makes me wonder if Wave 8 has actually been sent to distributors or whatever, but is just being held by FFG / Asmodee / Disney / Yog-Sothoth for some reason.

I have no proof of this, it is mere speculation on my part.

Do not despair. EDGE, the guys who own the x wing licence in Spain, says next month. They are quite serious people, so I am 99% sure wave 8 in March. But if it will be released in two or five weeks... No idea.

Seriously if you all for one instant believe they are waiting to release it because of store championships, you are deluding yourself. It hasn't stopped them before, and it won't now. There is a more likely answer based on the merger then anything else. It's barely late as is if you go based off the other waves release dates compared to their announcements.

If its not out soon I suspect its more to do with the price changes than anything else.

Come on now, you are just making that up aren't you? When someone says Americans there is no way you are stopping to make sure that the reference isn't to Canadians, Mexicans, Brazilians or Columbians.

Seeing as it's called the United States of America, using the descriptor of Americans to refer to its citizens is not only logical but the only reasonable thing people would call us.

"American" is the correct English word for a citizen of the United States. It is no different from the use in other languages, like américain in French. Your confusion does not make it "a colloquial misnomer used by citizens of the USA". Now if the original poster said "when I say blah blah blah person of the Americas blah blah blah...."
