The status for my order of rebellion sounds like the store has the copies and is just waiting for FF to give the nod to ship. I noticed that the status page isn't that all accurate and that's fine. Glad to get an idea of releases.

I reckon FFG already have them in hand. But are waiting for the Store Champ season to be over.

A couple days ago (Saturday 20 Feb, I think?) I asked the owner of my FLGS if he had any word on Wave 8. He said no- it wasn't at the warehouses yet. So we're probably a bit of a ways off yet.

1. They are waiting for a simultaneous release world wide.

2. California is having dock worker strike issues again

3. They are waiting until after Store Championship season

4. FFG wants to torture you

CA has not had a dock worker strike in a very long time. (snip...)

Calling it a strike wasn't the joke. Pointing out that it wasn't a strike wasn't missing the joke. We can disagree about the proper limits of tone and vocabulary policing online (although I'd take it as a kindness if we did it silently...) but this is not a case of somebody missing a joke.

What if FFG started announcing exact dates instead of quarters, like Apple for example. Would people be camping outside their FLGS for 3-5 months?

"American" is the correct English word for a citizen of the United States. It is no different from the use in other languages, like américain in French. Your confusion does not make it "a colloquial misnomer used by citizens of the USA". Now if the original poster said "when I say blah blah blah person of the Americas blah blah blah...."

Wow! When you say 'No one else's does either' perhaps you mean no one that you know. Otherwise that is both a broad and incorrect statement.

I was in South and Central America not too long ago and made the mistake of saying I was an American when asked where I was from. I was told very clearly that they were from America too. There are entire countries that may disagree with your particular point of view. But, of course, U.S. "America" is the country that hosts a World Series where only they are invited so what should anyone expect.
