So I tried Dodonna...

So structure failure would be a great card to get on the face up.

Face up deal dmg. Apply second card. Flip down. Then flip up and repeat

Might need to look into this

Yes and No.

Because you Randomly Flip it, so after you do it once, even if those are the only cards there, you have a 50% chance of flipping it a second time... As it itself adds a second Face-Down card to be potentially flipped next time.

Yeah it adds up quick, and if you are fighting a fully shielded ship and can hand them a crit effect that turns face down you can keep canceling a die every attack to flip the card over and over scoring 15 points each time.

Reikaan can also be a dissadvantage with this objective as i actually used his shieldless, dead CR90 as a token farm using fighters to flip the same card over and over and he couldnt take it off the board. It was pretty hillarious.

So how do you randomly flip it then? Have the other player reshuffle the dmg cards?

I don't know.

The Rules simply say that you MUST Randomly choose a Face-Down Card to Flip.

It doesn't tell you how to determine it Randomly. Only to do so.

what we do is have the defending player shuffle the cards out of view, fan them out then let the attacking player pick one.

So if APT pop out a structure dmg as the 1st card. You have a 50/50 chance of selecting it the second time. One in 3 for the 3rd and 1 in 4 and so on.

Yeah, Projector Misaligned and Shield Failure are far more devastating than SD in this example, because those ones you CAN just keep flipping to screw somebody over, hard.

Happened to me in a tournament. On two different ships. Fffffuuuuuu...

I did Shield Failure to a VSD from a MC30 dealing about 7 damage. Cut shields on its front then side making it so that he could only absorb 2 points instead of 4. It was amazing
