All while a couple German Shepherds are looking to take bites out of you.
I've done pretty well with three scimitar with Tactician and Rebel captive. Mara jade and fleet officer on each.
They escort a crackshot vessery with tractor beam
Think out of 5-6 games have 1 loss with it.
I was looking at a build last night that started with a Gamma + Shuttle Title + Fleet Officer + Recon Specialist = 24 pts.
I managed to fill out the list with two TAPs and two Ties...http://xwing-builder.co.uk/view/425414/tap-team#view=fullTAP TEAM

With the DoomBomber I consider adding a Hull Upgrade which could get you one more use out of Vader.
22 points. Only two off of the actual Doom Shuttle.
True and 3 total hitpoints less as well but with twice the agility and simply far more maneuverability.
Why recspec? It's antisynergistic, that ship will almost never use a focus action.I was looking at a build last night that started with a Gamma + Shuttle Title + Fleet Officer + Recon Specialist = 24 pts.

You are correct, I was thinking the Valen Rudor and Recon Specialist were on the same ship apparently, as that was the interaction I desired...back to the build.Unless I am missing a FAQ of some kind, Fleet Officer and RecSpec don't interact. RecSpec only triggers when you take a focus action and Fleet Officer is it's own unique action.I was looking at a build last night that started with a Gamma + Shuttle Title + Fleet Officer + Recon Specialist = 24 pts.

I thought it must have been answered somewhere, but there were a lot of nested quotes on the previous page and I just couldn't spot it. Sorry!
The shuttle upgrade limits crew to 4pts and under. So no gunner either.
One wonders why capped at 4. I can understand they do not want you to be able to field Palpi on a TIE Shuttle.
However, is a gunner on a TIE Shuttle really wisely invested points (as it is only a 2-attack locked in arc)? And you can't have more than 4 in a 100pts match.
Then apart from Gunner, there are only Palpi and Luke, costing 5+ and not being huge ship only. Is there some more crew coming, or are they just wanting to keep the window of opportunity open, to be able to field good crew without worrying about it being broken on the TIE shuttle?

They may have wanted to prevent a Gunner + Tactician combo.

Which, to be fair, would be overpowered on a ship with 2 attack, Target Lock, and a Barrel-Roll
Also known as low odds-to-hit, a way to lower them further, and a way to adjust into proper firing position.

Apparently an Imperial stresshog would be too much...

A non-unique stresshog that costs 23 points.
Plus everyone knows that Imperials can't have nice things.
Which doesn't really do much except for stressing the **** out of everyone in range 2 (and only in range 2), since most effective stressing requires you to miss.
You cant have Palpi ride in a bomber. You could always have the Emperor fly it in circles away from the battle.....
Just use the one from the last episode of Rebels...1 pilot, 8 crew. Plenty of room for Papa Palpatine and his entourage. ![]()

There are a lot of things that get very powerful with Gunner, but I'm particularly assuming they wanted to avoid buzzsaw doomshuttles with vader/gunner on board. And more manouevrable palpmobiles.

im going to imagine no one would be willing to throw away 24 points on three/four shots MAX. for that point you can just vader up a shuttle, yeah its less maneuverable, but it hits harder (normally) and has more room for vader triggers.

Eh, it's a similar goal to Wampa, OLeader, Stresshog etc for me - it's 24 points that will TERRIFY people a lot more than it should for what it does, so it would draw aggro like nothing else. It would be a great way to let two buffed-up aces have free rein in the early game.
Turn 1: 5 forward. "That's a bit aggressive..."
Turn 2: 5k into the middle of their formation. "Well, smeg... I guess everyone is taking stress"
Turn 3: 2 forward. "Welp, I guess they're taking stress again..."
Me when I play A-wings in this style:
Turn 1: 5 forward
Turn 2: 4 forward
Turn 3: 5k so that enemy has range 1 shot into my rear.
no thanks, I think i'll stick to a different tactic.
